Steam community popup does not denote that it's part of steam, either. Only looking at someone playing the game (whether or not it says Playing Non-Steam game <game name>) will tell you.

Yes, I bought it.
It was well worth the money I paid for it, but excuse me for having a taste for games that actually consider playing the Sniper role. It's really fun, and Hardcore Search and Destroy prevents you from having to play with fumb ducking 5 year olds that run up the front lines and manage to shoot everyone because they're cool enough to do that. You die, you're out for the round. It's like CS:S minus the dumb fu- yeah. You actually have to work with your team to get shit done, and that's made much easier by using Ventrilo and having a few friends that are good at your general FPS/have any sense of tactical combat.

The secret is to use the USP you start with and the M9 pistol in the crate. Pistols have the fastest weapon switch time and if you manage to hit each target with one shot, which isn't all that hard, you don't need to reload either pistol.
