Im stupid help me figure out how to play plz

I just got the game and me and my little brother have been playin for like 3 hours lol... but i cant figure out how to equip things like the helmet, armor, shield, AND sword... is it possible (in MS 1.3) equip more than 2 items? also how will i know if it worked... srry to bug u but i feel confused... plz help me

Firstly, did you edit your config...?



I'll Tell you What I remember Using Dephaults. Alright.. Q is a very important Key.. So is R.. Soh, you buy your armor and pick it up (i dont remeber pick up buttong.. i think its c or e) And then push Q. That will equip the armor. Some armors wont change your character model, but when you get to PLatemales and such, you'll look shiney cool. You do the same thing to equip sacks.. If you push Q with a sword in hand, you'll put it into the sack or into its sheith.. Push one of the number keys 1-5 to open your bags and select what you want to use from them. You can use them by clicking i think if i remember right. To switch hands, the dephault is mouse2. If something is equipped in your right hand, but your left hand is selected, you'll not be able to use the weapon in your right hand, so push mouse2 to switch, and you shoudl be using the sword. To Remove and item, push r and then the corresponding number of what you want to remove. Remember that version 1.3 and 1.35 are still Very buggy when it comes to this kinda stuff,, so be carefull not to loose everything you got.

"X" picks things up off the ground, you must have your right hand free to pick up a weapon, and in the case of two-handed weapons both hands must be free

"C" drops the currently held item

right mouse button will switch hands if you have anything in the other hand, otherwise it will kick if your martial arts skill is high enough

"Q" will equip items or automatically put it in a container you have equipped

"R" will bring up a menu to remove items, press 1-0 on the keyboard to remove the selected item, you can have one helmet and suit of armor equipped, and, because of a bug, you can equip as many bows/shields as you want on your back

press 1-3 with no menus open to open up your packs, 1 being the one on your back, such as a quiver or backpack, 2 being the belt sheath (and the belt shealth only), and 3 being your small or big sack... that sounds wrong, i know.

"P" will open up a screen that shows your current stats and skills, press page-up and page-down to scroll through your skills and see how far they're trained to the next level

i'm sure by now you've figured out how to attack, but the left mouse button will do it

keep in mind you can only carry a limited amount of things based on your equipped containers and current weight (although picking things up and putting them in containers in the right order will allow you to carry more thanks to a bug)



now have fun, and stay clear of helena, it will crash if you don't have enough people to do it, because of all the arrows from the orcs

Thx guys that helps and i gotta tell ya i like the way u guys answered so quickly it helps me alot but the funny thing is i accidently figured it out like 5 mins after i posted it so srry to trouble u but i do have one more problem... my buddies and i play on LAN all the time but we were gettin bored because we couldnt get passed the dark caves... i have to ask u what is up with the goblin town not loading and also... what about that big temple the one that is supposedly the only thing that can get rid of the shammans antimagic lol... I HOPE MS completed comes out soon! right now im havin a blast but im stuck so plz help lol

Goblin Town was never created, so you get stuck if you try to go there. There are only three important things in mscave.

1) The NPC who talks about everything and nothing, he's funny.

2) A room with 4 treasure chests.

3) A room with 9 treasure chests.

Once you found the treasures you can say you've completed mscave.

cool thx but i have one last question and i swear im done... im lvl 30 now with my bow and its gettin a little old killin everythin in one shot lol... so how do i beat this game lol or have u not finished it yet? also me and my brothers play this nonstop as u can tell from the high levels lol but the fact that it keeps crashing is really annoying luckily we take u guys' advice and back up our characters but it would be really nice if we didnt have to worry about that... so as soon as u can email me about any patches or something that would fix this (if u are working on it that is) [email protected] THANKS A LOT! this game has ended several weeks of boredom lol this game is awesome... in the future i hope u guys make another mod sorta like it lol... anyways dont forget lol and thx again!

DAMN! lol too late... the whole crashing thing? ya lol it deleted my guy! LVL 30!!!!! RAR!!! lol oh well srry needed to vent poinless delete this if u like lol... i dont even know why im posting this srry...

Just grab your ms folder in steam and then copy paste it in another folder every time you play it and if it crashes grab your back up and paste it back in steam. Works everytime.

if u read the one before my last post u would know that i already do that... its just that i was stupid and didnt make a back up for like 5 hours lol and i lost 14 lvls lol... all im concerned about any more is a patch so that i can stop worrying about it crashing lol... but thanks for the help guys have given me... its late now so im headin to bed but plz keep me posted about any patch or if u are working on something to finish the game and fix the bugs at [email protected]... there isn't really an end to the game, and probably never will be (it would defeat the point of it being almost 100% multiplayer), the only reason i can think of heading to mscave would be for the treasure and exp, as there isn't really anything else even there, very rarely a weapon called an elven shortsword will appear, but, due to a bug, to take it out of the chest you literally need to buy it from the chest for 20,000 gold, but it's worth it if your sword skill is above 10 or so... as for backing up characters, just copying the save1.char, save2.char and save3.char (or is it save0.char?) files to another folder will work, me and my sister do it after every map change, so we're pretty safe , my sis even has backups of her backups just in case

wow i just spent a really long time reading up on the story about this game! it makes me wanna play it really bad now lol great job again (srry to post so many its just that im a die hard fan (well since i heard about it) of this game and games like it lol) and i know u get this a lot... but in an estimate (so that i have a goal so i can keep interest in this) when will u guys have something to fix the bugs or better yet when do you think "MS:Continued" will be completed by? do u think it will be done before june... or what lol... ive also been waiting for quest to come out for a VERY long time and when i heard it was being completed i just about **** in my pants lol... so any news or something to keep my interest plz send to me as quickly as possible... lol I LOVE THIS GAME!... thx for ending many weeks of boredome for me lol[/b]
