So I just bought a new laptop and it has this inside it. I tried running just Half-Life and it said OpenGL wasn't supported and had to be run in software mode. Is there a way to make it run in openGL so I can play MSC or is it not possible?

Try running in window mode see if it works. Worked for me when i got that problem, then i figured i had to set max settings in order to play in openGL.
