Most ISP's block port 80 (default HTTP port) to make it hard for you to do that. There are ways around that, but it can be tricky (usually involves a combination of dyndns and software). I dun see a real good tutorial off hand though... Lord K does it a lot with his puter, evidentially though, as does one of my ex's. I was doing it with mine a while back when my host winked out.

Well you can try getting IIS which is something that comes with most windows installs. You may have to jump through some crazy hoops to get it installed and setup. However once you do you should be able to host your own sites, I use this to play with PHP on my laptop. If you need instructions on how to set it up you may have to google it. I personally don't know how to really set it up. I do know you should be able to find it in you add/remove windows componetns. Should be calld IIS or integrated information systems.

The port 80 thing is easy to bypass... port 27018 FTW!

My information.
Nice Kuroneko :D

There are tutorials for this sort of stuff though at http://www.ragezone.com/ I think... I've seen a lot of tutorials on setting up your own forums on your own Internet connection there before, I don't know if they are still there though (forums have been resetted in the last few years) :D
