I expect it to be quite alot longer than a few months for the price to drop by $200
Because of the demand for PS3, and the limited supply, and the cost of production (sony loses money on each ps3 sold), etc... it will most likely stay the same price for at least a year, if not more.
Xbox360 is already a year old and they haven't dropped the price yet (although i did hear they were considering dropping the price a bit in the near future)
the Wii is only $250 to begin with. actually a pretty reasonable price, possible to drop within the next year or two, but probably not by much.
But really it all comes down to supply and demand, and how sales do. If nobody buys the console, they will drop the price to make sales. If the consoles keep selling out, it'll be a long time before the price drops. They don't drop prices to make you and me happy, they do it to make sales.
Anyways, that's just my $0.02 of economics for the day.
