mapping problem "func_illusionary"

ok when ever i use a func_illusionary i get this problem and only when u look at the func_illusionary do u see it... what might be the problem?

as you can see... its not the whole sky box... what might be the problem?

are you using the null texture at all?

and wheres the func_illusionary at...?


if you can't fix it soon i can take a look at it. but i'd rather be doing things on bloodrose.

hmm... u mean the null tex on the illusionary? ill try that.

not only does that happen, but my func_illusionary doesnt work either. "this problem only occurs when i use "func_illusionary"...

1) Did you seal a part of your map using a func_illusionary? You can't do that. A map must be sealed by worldbrushes and worldbrushes only. A worldbrush is a non-entity brush. So anything with a texture that's not CLIP, NULL or something with water. You can (obviously) use SKY brushes to seal your map.
2) What texture does the func_illusionary have?
3) What is the rendermode set to?

1)no sky brush
2){thatchroof
3)Solid "255"

i seriously doubt i'd use it, i can hammer out fairly decent brushwork for hl1 in about 3 days...its just the entities that take me forever...especially with foutpost -.-

(as for bloodrose...its being difficult when i try to attatch my current cave to the rock-bridge...

theres something messed with that playerclip you've got there...could be a problem with it touching that (fairly complex) rock...but then again...you'd probably be better off just putting some strategic scenery there (IE: Guard house) instead of the clips

mmm, that didnt fix it, im going to try something else really quick.

yep for some reason me not turning my water... into a water entity made that happen o_O. now i can move on to actually mapping thank you for your help guys!
