Master sword Using OpenGL Launch Error

I have a uncommon error when i use master sword
When i launch it i am using force d3d because when i use OpenGL you would see the master sword tower backround for nearly 2 seconds and the game shuts down now when i use D3D everything runs fine but if you join a server a annoying as hell error pops up saying Master sword uses features only available in OpenGL mode! Attempting other modes may result in instability.
Now i have talked to 3 people trying to help me none could find out i am calling thothie to assist me in this i do not know of my drivers as my brother is the one who knows all about my computer Please help me.

MSC doesn't support Direct3D. You have to use OpenGL.

Sorry - been trying to find away around this for quite some time.

I know but i havea rare issue whenever i use opengl my game will start for nearly 2 seconds and shut down ive seen alot of people have this problem at steam forums

ATI and Vista users tend to encounter various issues with OpenGL - because Microsoft doesn't like anything with the word "open" in front of it, and ATI just fails at backwards compatibility. AMD really shoulda just stuck to processors instead of biting off more than they can chew. >_>

Maybe some day we'll find an HL1SDK coder with sufficient skill to release us from our dependence on this dieing graphics library (even if it is murder, rather than old age), but meantime, we're stuck with it.

Yeah ati was always my arch enemies comming to graphic cards but satisfying results when you spend hours getting it to work

Source master sword will hold wonders... and more likely steam issues but ogh well Master Ssword continued is the funnest hl1 mod ive ever seen svencoop is fun but this beats it
