Add "-debug" to the ./hlds_run command line to generate a debug.log to help with solving this problem

To pin it up again, i repeat the question.
Will there be a Linux build in the future?
a linux dedicated server is essential for this game.
i would make a server on my rootserver.
and there would be much more servers, and they were stable.
so, will there be a linux build?

If a coder steps up that is able to convert the entire code base to linux, yes.

And besides, we have more important things to do like....making it not crash.

Kureneko,
for a linux build there would be one easy way:
Just give the Sources free so the linux users can compile it for themselves.
Negative the code is open :(

I know someone who may be interested in doing it... But I'd have to pull him off another mod. He may go for it though. ...If you guys could stand having yet another coder around, I could ask.

I could stand them having another coder around :p.
Plus it's always good to have a linux version out for the people that are smart enough to use that instead of windows.

Good job mordred...

I was just wondering about what it takes to make something linux compatible the other day. There are many random programs that are linux compatible. I'm not sure if it's easier for some things than others but I do know ms:c has a ton of code, so if you did have to convert everything then they are going to need a linux specific coder.
