So I'm being kicked out of my house in a month in a half due to my parents selling it and I'm rather nervious. Anyone else had the boot recently/have any good advice for someone who's gonna start living on their own? *Squirrel I swear if you post I will invade your basement and beat you with a wrench.*

are you sure your parent selling it? This is rather funny. most parents would say that just to get you move out of the house. They did this to me when I was 17.

here is my advice...
Find a job...
save at least 1,400 dollars for deposit, electric, water, cable, food, misc for your own apartment. all that will cost you around 800 - 900 dollars but the rest is save for the next month rent. So you don't have to worry about getting behind on bills.

Or you could roommate with someone. I must warn you, you would never know if someone will shovel a condom with mayo and water in your ass.

roommate is about 200 - 300 dollars cheaper than living in your own apartment.

1st year of someone move into their own apartment will become lonely, depressed, and masturbate too often. After a while, you will get use to it.

Ask Thothie for advice! He has been living out there longer than me.
or ask Krayman or Humansteak (Don't remember which one but I know its one of them), I know he got a dildo shoveled in his ass by his GF at his own place.

Get a job or get a rich girlfriend.

Go to a place that has both jobs and rich girlfriends – (ie. Not Omaha,NE) ;)

Get used to eating lots of Ramen.

I had a rich wife who took my son... and got tired of listening to every single sh*t every f*cking day. Money can not shut their f*cking big mouth.
I think I learned all my drama from her...

Trust me, you don't want a rich girlfriend...
my ex-wife destroy my credit by putting $20k of debt. I have been paying on it since 2002 and still owe 6,000 dollars left and child support... d*mn that f*cking rich b*tch.

After the divorce... I was eating chicken ramen noodles for a year...

They cost somewhere 5 dollars to 10 at Sam's club. you get like 50 of em.
add some cheese to it and it wouldn't taste so bad...

Heres the story so far :

Parents are broke and want to get a smaller cheaper place to live so they are selling the house. They do not want my sister and I to tag along so they are kicking us out. Currently I'm jobless *Scept for this tutoring thing which I have tommorow which will net me 50$/session* and carless. As for roomies I've had a few options :

Friend Travis : Unreliable as fuck.
Friend Richard : Is always leaving the state for no reason.
Friend Sam : Doesn't want to live where I'd need to.

So I think its better if I just get a single bedroom for myself and work things out that way. *shrugs*

Oh and Pimpsta, if I ever find out where you fucking live I will come over there and beat a nail into you skull. Kthxbai.

I don't think you can afford to fly to where Pimpsta is at $50/session. ;)

Good thing about NE - rent's cheap. Granted at $50/session, even in NE, you ain't getting no one bedroom. You'll be lucky if you can share a studio.

If ye get yerself into trouble, ya may want to look into youth hostels (gotta be a bunch towards Vegas). They can be cheap for a few weeks until you find yourself a place, but you gotta book in advance, assuming your parents are willing to haul your stuff around a bit longer.

I stayed at one of those when one of my live-ins had her folks visit. Said live-in had not told said folks that I was a live-in, and I didn't want them to know either. So it was easier to pretend it was her place, and we didn't have cash for three days in a non-scarey hotel in Frisco at the time. (I can't remember if they ever asked her what the second computer was about.)

Penny Saver (I think ya get that out there) usually has good offers for people lookin' for roommates, if yer the roommatin' type. (Ye may not have a choice for awhile)

Out in our part of town, the rent isn't that cheap (Granted, not east/west coast expensive, but still). The cheaper stuff comes closer to downtown, which is where he's against living, I think..

$1750/mo for my 2/bedroom here in SoCal.

The 1 bedroom's next to me are $1550/month.

The studios are $1180/month.

$800 Sec Deposit, first and last months rent. Minimum 1yr lease.

Ya get: Trash, AC, Water, Pub Pool, Exercise Room, Computer Room, Conference Room, BBQ pit, Covered Parking, Gated community (lol), Cable/DSL ready. Only paid utility is water.

This is the cheap complex - the ones a block from me are all +$400 on that.

Houses across the street are all 7 figures+.

Granted, the places I was renting in Frisco and Boston around 10-15 years ago are now over $2000/month, and one of those was a patheticly tiny studio, so I should quit my bitching.

I'm not bragging - I'm saying you don't want to live out here, if you're 19.

California = bad place for n00bs. ;) Gotta be cheaper rent out in the sticks in NE. Here, even the Inland Empire (BFE) has gotten out of hand.

Nonsense. I'd stay with my brother and work on plots to bomb you, Shuri, and P, preferably on the same day ;-)
