MSC Single player experience

I need to feed my no-lifeness and MSC seems pretty tasty to me right now, however my FN character slots are all occupied by precious.
I'd like to play by myself without hitting the gear wall caused by most things being impossible to get this way.
Are there any LAN or listenserver options to boost drop rates or to simulate a full server?
I know about fake players and HP but I'm not sure it helps getting for example, a dark sword or phoenix armor by yourself... Does it?
I really miss the ol' senseless grinding and I need the full experience. Please enlighten me O great masters of MS:C!
Please allow me to torment myself with my vain (but fine) tastes for self-infilcted senseless torture

Also unless you enable developer commands and just outright spawn certain items (the ones that require more than one player to drop), you're out of luck I'm afraid.
