Yeah, the weapon view models are made out of huge submodel arrays, and sometimes the indexes fail to update proper - doesn't affect the functionality of the weapon. Should go away if you whip it out again or switch hands. This seems to happen most often when you die and respawn - guessing client losing a packet as a result of all the overhead that comes with respawning.
2h blunts seem more prone to it for some reason though - can't figure why - most all the weapons use the same system.
