Okay. Currently, I think the current state of the new maps and various other maps in development is pretty god damned dire. Yes, so your map is going to be 'the next bloodrose' or 'harder than cleicert'. If it is, then don't ever expect me to play it.

I'm slowly losing interest in MS:C. The community is great, the developers are active and there's a constant stream of updates. I'm losing interest because all of the budding mappers devote their time to making monotonous hellholes of maps which are so difficult they are ultimately a waste of time. I started playing MS:C a little later than every other long-time member, and I'm playing the price for it. The only place I can really level up right now is daragoth, and that's incredibly boring.

I want mid-level maps. Instead, I'm met with the MS:C equivalent of T-1000 carbon fibre*. This means I'm stuck on daragoth, desperately trying to level my character up so I can play with my guildmates and friends on the newly released maps.
*T-1000 is the strongest man-made material you can buy.

Take Lodagond, for example. Not knocking Crow, it's a good map. The reaver boss? Semi-impossible. I can help out at the start, but anything past that is way out of my depth. Even J-M struggles with it (I'm sure you've seen his complaints). Then we have the fight with the four warlocks and the fight with Runegahr. I doubt even the highest-leveled player would be comfortable fighting them.

Basically, what I'm trying to say is: if you're going to make a new map, make it a mid-level map for once. We're inundated with high-level maps, and quite frankly, a few of the new ones are a waste of time. Monster ramping makes things worse.

Please, make me happy and make a map suitable for levels 25-35.

the beginning of Nashalrath will be good for low levels(20-25), but will quickly detract into lv 30, 35 and last 40.

part 2 might go as far as ending up on level 55

You're fucking insane if you want a level 55 map.

Actually me and Nando came up with strategies for the reaver, mages, and runeghar which made us wipe each of them under 10 minutes. He's 44 and I'm 37. Then again, this game is becoming a game of brute force only. Spellcasting would totally play a great part in supportive ability for lower levels.

I think I see the problem.
There is no 25 - 30. It's around level 25 to 30, that you're stuck at daragoth.

Jeeze, I haven't farmed Daragoth since 20.

Maybe true for a specialist though.

i was working on a new map series before i was kicked out of my house... which will range from a new start town and build all the way to high level maps... but for anyone to play it. they are going to have to start a new character. i do plan on continuing it when my compy is mailed to me....

If part 2 comes, it will be in a year or two...Little Frodo quitted mapping, he is only finishing part 1, and at the time it will be released, it must be on par with the user database.

I think he's reffering to the floor in the bossroom, in bloodrose. Y'know, the place where you fight Atholo.

You always complain that the maps get "harder" by removing the floor, so if it's that hard, it would probably require a negative floor (So much lack of floor that it's actually below zero!)

How about a boss battle underwater, you gotta kill it before you drown

So exactly what monsters are "mid level".

I would be willing to make a mid level map, its just, all the monsters are on one text document and sometimes level of expertize is a little hard to see between different monster names.

Granted, ingame I'm only level 14, so I haven't really had a chance to play against "mid level" enemies.
