New spell idea.

How about a new divinity spell that has area damage features.

call it "magnus crucis" (big cross)


when you cast it on the floor under your unholy/undead opponent, it spawns a glowing cross underneath them and damages for 3-4 seconds then quickly fades away.

high level SC required of course.

what do you think?
id be willing to make the sprites and models neccesary to make it happen.

High level SC, 3-4 sec cross area damage (i'm guessing?)
Considering those two factors, the spell would either be:
Mid - High damage, High mana consumption, Single casting charge (Volcano)
Mid damage, Average mana consumption, Low spamability

As an added affect, it could cause the undead creature to become paralyzed momentarily or cause fear.

cross shaped area damage would be nice but i dont know if itd be to much trouble.

also, a question for thothie.
could you add the same effect as when you catch an opponent on fire, ive got a sprite idea.

it should probably disentigrate undead below a certain level, bind and fear the others, with damage being a set numeric value per level (like rebuke, but AoE and stronger)

also, now that i can see what XP i'm getting from things...rebuke is still as broken as ever (skeletons should give all thier xp on final death, dependant on how many lives they have, which is determined when they spawn) - and also that whole, rebuke is crazy slow for doing only 1.5damage/level and single target (at a level 6 spell!)

and Possibly emmanate from the player at the intersection


and have the cross last as long as the player has MP... quickly drains

"pretty up" as well as enlarge that religious symbol!

Hopefully I can make it fade away without fux0ring with it's rendering properties, but you need to link stuff up. Be a good replacement for that temperamental holy circle.

I'd really like it to be some sort of non-Christian symbol, but with enough reminisce of it to make the "holy" connection intuitive. Maybe you could make a four point cross or something?

like a square?
thatd make the area damage alot easier.
