I've been playing the game for about 3 days now, almost religiously (love this game!), so I decided to register on the forums. I'm known on other mods as The Magical Bong, and I know at least one person will recognize me, if he sees this post.

Any tips for training SC? Mine's level 3 and it's a pain in the ass to train it. I can't cast anything other than fire dart and erratic lightning, which both do crappy damage at level 8 and 6 respectively.

and yet those are what you will be stuck with for a while

magic isn't an easy skill to level, I suggest getting a hold of an ice spell. ice dart, frost bolt, something like that. Can't seem to remember the name of the spell, either way it will help a lot when leveling SC.

The next spell you should get is poison, from once at level 10 sc its pretty much find any spell or keep using the weak ones.

as for finding the poison spell and ice spell, I suggest asking other players in game, both are fairly common spells and so someone is bound to have an extra.e

Just don't train in magic exclusively or your life will be a pain, best to keep all your skills around the same level, save maybe parry, and magic, (mayhaps archery and martial arts) which are harder to train.

Yeah, I have been discovering the pain of training Archery. I started at level 21, I think, got a level and some health. I figure I'll get it to 25, just to be nice and even. 25 rolls around, no HP boost yet. I figure I'll get it to 26, just for the bit of HP. 26 rolls around, no HP boost yet >_<

Well I'm a hardy archer, so I've got a lot of archery and a moderate amount of everything else. I'm just trying to get SC up a bit.

Welcome! Always great to see a new face, even if you can't see it. Are you good at making anything like maps, models, textures, sounds, coding, ect.? Pretty much everyone who talks on the forums does or has done something to help this mod grown, and it would only benefit if you would help. If not thats cool too.

I've been good with coding before, though I don't know any of the coding for mods. I could contribute if I learn hammer, but I'm pretty well stupid when it comes to that. I dunno. I'll find something I can do. I might just donate once I get a job... Moving sucks lol

I am a coder myself too and I don't like the look of these codes. They are haunted. So I am going to stick with mapping, textures, and graphic.
