I think it's 4 days now since i play this awesome mod but there are still many questions open in my mind.
Yesterday i ran into Orochi, he showed me some cool spells and i asked about skills? I don't remember eww.. anyways thanks for that :)

Ok so here are some of my noob questions:
Do i have a spell at the beginning to start with or do i need to buy one? (i've choosen the short sword at character creation)
Which is the best beginner armor (for swordmen) to lvl up with in the thornlands, it should also be cheap. (I'm really low on money :oldcry:)

Well.. that's it for now. Anyways im really tired so more question can come up later.

I'm posting also a little bug at Edana which i don't know if it can be abused.
Spoiler->If you kill enough bears at the potion vendor to spawn the big one, attack him and jump on the grass on the side, then jump down. He will run around crazy and breaks magically trough the grass and stand in front of you attacking. You can now go to Edana and he will stay at the outside and will rund around crazy you can sit down to heal and go attack him. Do this again till he's down. So this could be abused for low level characters if they don't one hit die from him. Anyways the main concern is he runs around PRETTY fast it's non human speed (and i'ts not that fast if you don't run away).<-Spoiler

Sorry for my bad english i'm from Germany so.. yea.

You only start with a spell if you choose Erratic lightning as your weapon when you made your character, you CAN buy scrolls or tomes in towns but imo its just best to find it on your own (its free and feels rewarding :D ). But dont try to buy the rejuvination scroll at the mage shop in Edana, for some *strange* reason it costs 8k gold.

As for armor, the leather armors suck even for newbies. The gladiator armor is probably your best bet since it is light weight and has 45% damage reduction. Same with the vests if you want to have some magical resistance. Unfortunetly you can not buy Gladiator armor, you can only find it.

Thanks for that info, but so unluky i'am i won't find that thing

And there flys another question in my mind. For the Mayor quest, do i need to bribe the guard or i'am totally wrong?

It's purely choice. Let's just say it generally seems that many of the NPCs in the world of Daragoth are hungry.

There's just not a lot of variety of food in Daragoth. It's almost like Britain that way.

You can level up to 40, that's max at the moment ..
Take a Shield or something , or by the time you gain Parry

Start using a shield and it'll level itself in time. I wouldn't worry too much about consciously leveling parry, as it's gonna be removed one of these days >_>

Also, the leather armors are better than nuttin, and not a bad reason to spend some of the cash you'll be getting from pelts and, soon enough, humanoids. A helmet would be a good idea as well. Those damn ferocious boars ;)

Yea i read about it, so i got a Training Shield last night and i assume that it's not working with it or am i wrong? Or i'm just thinking it would level up fast...

I've got a PlateMail helmet i think (20% stun resistance is good for the beginning). The first day i was playing i bought the first armor you can buy in Edana, well i thought after buying it that it was not the best idea :/

Now i start leveling up in the sewers but it creeps the HELL out of me!
What i do when i start playing, i go to thornlands and get the chest at the two skeletons, dunno if there's something good in there but at least it gives me some money :D

It starts off extremely slow. It ramps up pretty quick, though.

Those don't come in the form of a potion they come in the form of a hammer to the head. Several whacks to the head if needed enough for a severe concussion.

Drugs do count as potions I suppose but I recommend the hammer method its easier and more affordable feel free to combine the two though.

Hey now let's get back on topic...

By the way Tigerkev, I'd advise you to not let people give you free stuff, no matter how persistent they are. This is just a suggestion, but earning everything by yourself or in a group of people is what makes the game fun! :)

Yes, watch out Tigerkev. This game will last a whole lot longer and will be much more enjoyable if nearly every item is not given to you for free. Someone is guaranteed to toss you the best armors and the best weapons this game has to offer. I suggest refusing everything until you can use it at the very least.

but if you ever find yourself frustrated about getting certain items you can use, there are always people happy to help.

That is how much exp you need until you get your next level (Power 12).

And yeah, like Dridje says, [xxx left] = XP till next level.
