Call the cops, he's an idiot.
I keep getting an error stating "Couldn't allocate dedicated server IP port 27015."
And if I use any other port, like 27016, it just says the server couldn't connect to the Steam servers.
Otherwise, I can run a listen server in game just fine.
iFail, iNeed help, iHatewhensh!tmessesup.

You cannot have a DS and your client on the same port on the same system. You'll need to change the HLDS's port via the -port switch as described in the sticky. You'll also need to make sure the port you use is open on your router.

I am truly one of the biggest dumbasses this world will ever know.
Anyways, what you posted helped either way. Thanks Thothie.
I'm dumb enough to forget to turn off the "Has Users Playing" filter before I search for an empty server. I struggled for about 2 hours straight trying to fix it, and all I had to do was click a damn button in the Steam server browser.
PS. I lourve my small text.

Edit: Would the port issue have anything to do with the recurring "Error verifying STEAM UserID Ticket(server was
unable to contact the authentication server" issue with anyone that joins my server. People just get booted out after about 5 minutes due to the error.

Also - Meet the Sticky.

Could be - if it's happening to all your clients. Make sure you open all the ports indicated in the sticky.
