Night school - few classes, no stress. Granted, only good if yer a grad student and/or already have yer degree... and Sadly I've taken just about every class they offer at night, and now am too old to be seen in a day class. ;)

<3 Online classes...I've taken some computer-related ones, they're pretty fun, and comfortable too (Cause you're in a familiar setting)...Just don't take C++ or MYSQL classes...They're pretty hard without an instructor on hand to guide you :oldangry:

I know, I wouldn't do grammar school ("nerd school" as some call it, everybody who does this school has Greek and/or Latin as subjects by the way, I have Greek) if I didn't believe that only good comes from education.

I'm going to move on to a university here in the Netherlands after this final exam year (I'm not going to take a one-year vacation or something) too... ah well, I'm beginning to get used to the stress

My information.
On the area of stressful school related stuff, I remember this girl from Finland who had transfered to my Highschool, and she mentioned that doing only eight-to-fifteen classes a year was much easier than the twenty-five they had her doing...

Twenty-five classes a year = when will that person commit suicide from stress? That's something only a lawyer should do (since they are used to eighty-to-ninety-hour working weeks)...

I am very proud to say that during my freshmen year at Highschool, I had instantly hopped from a freshmen level history course to a college level one; it was very fun to put no effort into anything, skip 2/3 the time, and still turn out ahead of those honest hard-workers :D

Ehehe I got this freakin awesome dual-enrollment deal when I hopped into college.

Thats right, one year in highschool! Just one year, and now everything is running off of college classes that I get highschool credit for.

Talking about killing two half birds with one stone.

*cough* anyway... yeah man, school sucks. (Cept when you are in a computer class and they think you dont know how to open IE6 :D )

One of my brothers (4 years older) said he was going to take a year off..

I'm most likely going to graduate before he did. Just be careful of how nice it feels to be off ;-)

So much pressure is put on schooling nowadays that often the quality of education is overlooked. Doesn't matter if you're burying yourself in classes if you're learning nothing from 'em.

Remember, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. School's one of 'em. :)

DarkWasp, as to that dual-enrollment stuff... I already know of it myself -_-

I could have hopped into it if I felt like it this year around, but one college level class (AP history), which gives Highschool credit, is enough for me... I didn't exactly start my school year off shitting out flowers like everyone else around here did, very much the opposite of that... I'm sure J-M knows what I'm referring to, an event from September.

I have piles of PHP work myself right now, I love it when teachers give more work than there is time to get it done  good thing I don't have any problems being awake 24 hours programing.

Holy crap HomestarR, I knew somebody had to go AFK for a long time because of service in the US Army, but I forgot it was you; how are you doing dude? You haven't posted in ages (for obvious reasons if I'm not mistaken).

Knee deep in shit
I am doing pretty well. The pay is crap but it has a lot of benefits.
Between June and August I was in basic Training (no computer) and between August and March I was in Biloxi Mississippi for tech school. (No internet) There was service there before hurricane Katrina, but they haven't managed to get their service back up, and those dorms sucked. I am now in Maryland (wooo!) and am finally out of training so now I am actually treated like a human by most NCO's and officers. I cant believe I made it 9 months without the net. Almost unbearable!

Haha, I plan on doing something like Westpoint once I am eighteen... (or some other lower Officer's academy)

I'd prefer to go into the army as an officer rather than a grunt...
I've heard a lot of people whine about how the wages in the army are crap, but it if brings in at least $15,000 a year it'll be easily manageable, so long as they pay for housing.

Singapore's school system has got to be the most stressful...

Their holiday schedule is nothing like the US, instead of having a 2-month holiday where you can rot your brain, they spread it out across the year.

They make you as sharp as a friggin' katana there...what you'd learn in grade 3 there is stuff US eighth graders would learn. I always felt so damn smart in the US when I heard that my peers were busting their asses off learning Pre-Algebra when I was done with Algebra 2. :|

My cousin, who is about 7 years old, is learning pre-algebra there. I wasn't too suprised...

I've been homeschooled so I don't know the stresses...but I'm torn between the community college and a polytechnic over in Singapore...the community college nearby is full of pervs, gays, Dr. Underwood, and of course my brother...on the other hand, the Singapore polytechnic curriculum would butcher me, and I wouldn't be able to visit the US for long periods of time...
