Hmm...it would seem that my parry skill is broken, it is currently showing up as level 31 and 100% of the way to next level, but wont level up! Or is there a max parry level?

Well, nvm I guess, it has seemed to fix it self. It just reset to 0% and is starting to go up again. Sorry to trouble you all :D

Known bug.. You're going to see it a lot in skills that get above 28 or so.

the bug start when you first reach lvl27 in ANY skill and it'll appear when you reach 70%, and with each additional level you get the bug 10% earlier. At level 29 it will show 0% when you should be 90%.

Mind you, this is all graphicall you still are at the same % you were before, it never resets

It's a horribly annoying bug.

Basically, I know Thothie has tons of stuff to do for this game, but there are only three bugs I would really want to see fixed:
1) Level % not showing properly.
2) Some spells not passing XP properly.
3) The armor bug (but if Thothie can't fix this, there isn't much hope at all for this one).

IF the armor bug cant be fixed, we could remove armor model and add more player models

EDIT: Which spell dont pass XP properly?

Parry has stopped at 96% on level 2 on my character.

Shield still deflects and absorbs when manually blocking.
Only been using a training shield and the long sword (not sure whether the sword trains parry or not).

Nothing TRAINS parry, it just does it on it's own (Unless the nova blade does...). It doesn't matter if you have a shield or not ;-)

I *think* that having a shield or two handed sword equiped gives you a boost to % chance to parry.
The more chance you have the more you parry attacks.
The more attacks you parry the quicker it trains.
At least thats what I thought.

Shields and swords DEFLECT, they don't parry. It's a different system.

Well, something's got to up it somehow (I assume getting hit).

But if I remember correctly, the long sword says that you parry the blow, thus I would be lead to believe it's also connected to the Parry skill, seeing as I would probably be somewhat adept at parrying, in order to actually parry blows effectively.

No, no item ups it (unless he did change the 2handed code, which I doubt..). Parry trains itself by parrying random attacks. Your screen will shake, your display will say it, and you will take NO damage. Shields and 2 hand swords (SFAIK) just DEFLECT the blow.

I didn't say item ;)

But seeing as I've been hit fairly often and only recieved Parry 2, I assumed Parry was bugged somehow.

No. The exp system was devised by a previously clean man who tried a cocktail of drugs for the very first time. He through in several arrays, allowed exp to only be gained by damaging something, and overall made it too messy to deal with.

I think the chance of it parrying is related to the skill, but when it does parry it doesn't raise the skill.

My information.
Parry is buggy, very... very... buggy...

I don't go in-game too much these days because my parry skill has been hopping around from 5% to 95% and never seems to actually gain really... it has been stuck at 37 or whatever it is right now since March or February: I guess I am just unlucky :p
