Playstation 2 Online help/questions

Hello guys, I've decided to try and get my PS2 online so I can play some of my games online. I've read a whole bunch of tuts and stuff but I'm still confused on how to get it working.

I've heard that you could get it online by connecting it to a router or connect it to a PC (with internet) by Ethernet port. If any of you guys have a PS2 or you think you could help me, please reply once you finish reading this whole post.

Here is how I want it to work. I want to connect my PS2 Slim to my PC by having a cat5 cable going from my PS2 to the Ethernet port in the back of my computer. Would that work? All help is appreciated.

I don't think it would, unless your computer is the one that is hooked into the Internet directly.

:-/ Damn wireless....I'm going to be trying it some time soon.

Edit: It worked for like 2 minutes then something happened and it doesn't work anymore. :-(
