Problems with my character progress

i really need help with this...
i have playing MSC on LAN with my brother... but its seems like we have 2 characters with the same name but different progress...
Ex. we started in MSC tutorial, and played in that map until we got level 2... then, we went to edena, and played there like 3 hours... i was like level 7 by that time... the next time we played again (edena) our characters were level 2 ....
and some times we loaded another map our characters were level 7 again, i just dont get it
and finally we lost our characters level 7 ...

is there anyway to save our character at anytime during the game?

we really love this game... i wouldn't like to abandon it

When playing on lan the characters are saved on the computer that starts the listen server, so if you start playing with the other computer you get different characters. If you want to play with the same characters make sure one computer hosts the listen server every time.

Your best option is to play online on any of the FN servers as you can use the same character on all of them, and if you have a bug or corrupted character you can get a rollback.

When creating a server, under the advanced options, look for character save status.

If it's set to "Client", it may screw up naming, as on LAN, everyone's Steam ID is the same.

Set it to "1 on Server", and that should fix it. I've run into the same problem before, and I believe that to be the fix. If not, toy around with the 4 options there: "Client, 1 Server, 2 Server, 3 Server".

thank you guys, its seems like everything is working properly now with our characters
idk how... our characters are saved in my brother´s PC but he can´t tick the LAN option cuz we cant see our characters there, our characters have a STEAM number in the SAVE folder... not their name with (LAN) like before...
i dont know how this work... but its working

and i got another problem... when i visit "my brothers kingdom" .... sometimes i lost the connection... "STEAM connection lost" it said in the message box , what can i do about it?

Ah and guys, dont play for 3 hours on edana to level , try thornlands or chapel
