Running a Server off Linux

If so how could I go about doing it.

I was planning on hosting a 10 slot public server that is ran off a actual server not a computer, but the server uses linux.

Damn I really wish there was a linux version of MS:C. A 10 slot SERVER server would be nice to see on the already massive server list :/

If someone could point me to an article on how to compile a HL1 .so for use with Linux, I'm all ears.

Some people have managed to run the server on Linux through Windows emulators.

I would host a server if I could ever figure out setting up my linksys router. Yah, I know there is the thread in Thothie's sig, but I fails at doing it lol. Anyone wanna help ?

Im renting a server for a CS:S server, but Im done using it so I wanted to change it to MS:C but its linux based >.> Do you mean the FTP info ?

No, I meant the actual server. If I had an extra comp/server at my house, it would be in constant use... For MSC.
