Not much happened this month, so not expecting much in the way of new reports, but also repeats of old ones. ( Ye old August bugs here )

Known issues
MAJOR
:arrow: Still getting No Free Edict Errors
- This is the #1 thing preventing an MSC 1.1 full release, IMO.
- (Actually I just *assume* we still are, as I've not taken any new steps against it this month.)

MINOR
:arrow: Lightning storm oft causes crashes
- This has been going on for awhile now, most often it seems to cause a buffer overrun (which seems like one of those bugs that should only be reported/stopped for in debug mode, so I dunno what's up there.
- Lstorm also generates a "SV_StartSound: 10 not precached (0)" but I can't figure why
- Maybe related to the old bug with bolts appearing inside things causing crashes (maybe the effort to stop that failed), I may try client side lightning bolts and see if it helps.

Aesthetic
:arrow: You may get negative to hit rolls if you have a high enough score to strike
- This is actually an ancient bug, but likely resolvable.
:arrow: Gladiator armor displays as Orochi's jacket to other players
- Possibly something similar with Armor of Bravery.

- Blood axe hits with broad side

- Insane monster ramps
- Crashie uber reaver
- Ability to use restricted weapons secondary abilities
- Flat damage from Dark Sword

Ancient/Perpetual
Known Ancient bugs:
- People still can get stuck in each other on spawns. (Partly Map Flaw)
- Swimming in waterfalls (Map flaw).
- Map crash on transition (memory dealocation error). (use AMX and Restarter as workaround)
- Become invisible when putting on armor (armor display bug work around, type 'vis' in console)
- Unable to chat after some people disconnect bug. (suggest votemap workaround - or the upcoming fake client AMX plugin)
- All entities invisible bug (type kill in console to cure).
- Lights/sprites not going away / sticking to other objects
- Occasionally a weapon/spell will stop doing damage until it is unequipped then re-equipped.
- Menu-based vote kick system does not work proper (use ms_allowkickvote 0, and use the AMX kick system instead [votekick in chat])
- Occasional scrambled inventory: wearing potions/scrolls, etc. Usually caused by clicking on a character multiple times before load.
- Can't use charge attack in laggy conditions. (Work around: look at the floor and pray.)
- Sitting animation bugs (sometimes saves to character for awhile)
- XP system is screwy, to say the least. (DOT not passing XP, wrong XP values sometimes return, etc. etc.)
- All water sometimes goes white (texture stretch bug, restart)
- Mod_ExtraData Cacheing Failed: Listen servers must start on Edana, from there you can changelevel anywhere you want.
- Typing issues in chat. Especially with European keyboards.

Also Not liable to go away soon:
- Some monsters still capable of some acts while frozen (jumping, etc.)
- Orion Bow jamming sometimes, (I've no idea how to fix this without dropping the whole charged weapon concept.)

In port Ara, after killing every single shaman, players cant cast spells because there are too many FX used at the moment. This is caused because the fire of the torchs (the ones the shamans drop) stay even after the torch itself dissapears.

So, DarkSword apparently needs 320 Swordsmanship Proficiency :p

The sword works just fine, and I can use five charges now as opposed to just four (at lvl 29 swordsmanship). Aesthetic bug?

Almost positive this was already mentioned, but the Lightning Fork aims at players with the bolt. Rather annoying >_<

So I made a new char, and it has a my high leveled chars tomes.
he is level 2 SC and can use Blizzard and Chain Lightning and Create Skeletons

Known bug. Has to do with certain variables moving between clients. You may also notice things like PKs being the same ;-)

Works two way as well;
I started a storage char with magic on slot2, and now my main has erratic lightning.

Works two way as well;
I started a storage char with magic on slot2, and now my main has erratic lightning.
I noticed this as well, but I don't want to get rid of blizzard before I find a scroll or another tome or something. Except mine went from slot 1 to slot 3.

Eh Thothie, i alredy demonstrated you my noob casting lightning storm and he only had lvl 3 sc.
If you have 2 characters for instance and let one of them learn a spell, then the other character will automaticaly get the spell aswell. Bad thing is restrictions dont work in such ocasions.

It is not a consistent thing...I've yet to see someone get shittastic spells on their main, as opposed to the vice versa.

I'm pretty sure I've told you that erratic lightning went from my noob to my main, tyvm. :D

Yes, and my main now has erratic lightning, fire dart and glow aswell.

I think that you should change scrolls so that the item isn't deleted and recreated every time you cast the spell, but instead put back inside your spell book every time you cast it. This should prevent people from losing their spells in crashes and also allow you to assign quick slots to scrolls.

If I could do that I would. At the moment there is no function to force a player to put away an item, thus the crazy half assed work around that we call "scrolls".

Ara Glitch

I seem to have run into a glitch on Ara. When the Orc Warlord comes out with the extra fire shamans, lightning storm damage decreases to @ 25% its normal damage and stays that way for the rest of the map. I tried restarting game but it didn't change anything. Also, other players have reported that it happens to them too.

It could be due to the number of torches the fire shamans drop. All the dropped items reserve "space" which is shared between some of the spells' objects which means that spells will lack some properties (eg. blizzard doesn't create that icy rain), which in turn causes a decrease in damage. Thothie can probably explain it better. I don't know why it would remain even after restarting, though.

I've reduced the number of fire shamans for the next version.

Still trying to come up with a way to avoid the torches on ground thing (seeing if I can trick the torch fire-in-hand effect to happen without a torch)... But I can't think of anything that'd reduce the damage - just the rate of fire, or chance of the storm manifesting.
