Suggestion for spells

I was thinking, since there is an 8 tomb max because of the bug and people who have been playing since the beginning and maxed all 8 tombs with lousy spells, that there could be some way of "unlearning" a tomb (like a memory wipe) so we can get higher spells as tombs instead of scrolls, because its annoying finding a high lvl tomb and not being able to use it (because you maxed out on ugly spells because you played when there were no scrolls).

There's already a Potion of Forgetfullness planned, but Thothie needed to get the hard code to compile before he could work on it.

My information.
I was the original suggester (On MSC Forums) to have a method for-which to remove pre-learned spells :D

Soon as this method (be it an NPC who'll remove it, or a potion of forgetfulness) I am getting on my main character and murdering Erratic Lightning, Fire Dart, and summon rat:!:

It works. It's just a matter of rushing the maps & npc I had planned to dish it out in before December on top of the rest of this crap.

PS. Wrong section

Zomgz Thothie... you have it all working!? I can't wait for that now! I am going to blow away cash by the thousands, most likely, to unlearn certain spells that I've grown to dislike.

Also, could you empower summons?? They are proving lame and too weak... Most characters strong enough to summon a skeleton will notice that he dies really fast, without doing too much damage to the enemy, whereas the only thing a skeleton (or even group of skeletons) can stand up to dies in one hit by the players highest melee skill...

For the forgetfullness potion is it selective or does it just wipe all of your spells?

Sweet, finally I can unlearn spells and use the stockpile of Tomes I've been keeping for just this occasion.

Also, my skeletons aren't weak. I summoned them in the skele room (right before the bears) of skycastle and they did quite nicely ;-)

Yeah, I usually find the skeles pretty effective on my FN character. So long as you don't do something stupid like feed a boss with em or anything. Rats are useful for mobility too, though not much else.

Once we figure the final item limit out, we'll add more summons. Issue being we have to precache the summon's model too, so it counts.

For the forgetfullness potion is it selective or does it just wipe all of your spells?

Sadly, it wipes them all, so you may end up questing for some tomes again (I know I will - although I'm WAY behind on my spell repitoir).

It is a little buggy in that it wipes the spells from your character, but doesn't update your client right away. So it seems you still have some or all of them, until you reconnect or try to learn a new tome. I've not found any sploits with this yet, tis just rather annoying.

Well I'm okay with a total tomage wipeout :D

That'll make it easier even, buy one potion and wipe'm all out!! Although, since it WILL make people go and re-obtain EVERYTHING, can you be sure not to make this potion supremely expensive? :(

That's just lack of foresight >_> I've had all the tomes I want (as well as some for others) stockpiled for awhile now >_>

I think 1k tops, since it will force you to use items you have (losing them in the act of using them) and send you out treasure-hunting/buying new stuff.

This potion will basically force you to scour all of the maps just to obtain what you want, spend thousands in gold, and then wipe out the spells you learned before-hand doing that exact same thing... minus the wipe out :D

Do have to take into account, the only people this is really going to be useful for, is those who have already memorized 8 tomes, so they are going to have a fair amount of cash.

Yea, people like me (who haven't been gathering these tomes already) are going to go broke really fast when this potion is released (if it is) :D
