Hello,

I've just thought about having an Chat that goes public in all FN connected server such as the global one,

example:
[IRC]Test Server#1 Test Char: blabla
[IRC]Test Server#2 Test Char2: bla?

etc

so we could chat in diffrent servers with each other or something like that

Of course only those who are playing on a server :p

Regards,

Rideon

votemute should do it lol, which i guess cant be made due to diffrent servers, and that would be possible to troll tho
which there should be admins for that watching, or having a chatlog

Wow... An original idea in suggestions that isn't impossible or otherwise blows... The apocalypse must be neigh.

It'd have the major disadvantage that there'd be a 10 second delay in turn around, or more, from both directions. You'd also be rather limited in how much text you could send. Those factors would, however, limit the trolling possibilities. Be handy for "omg gtf in here" requests, I suppose.

We've had issues working up dynamic FN write functions in the past though, hrmm...

Well, it'd be 3-6 texts/min, because of the turn around. (It'd vary, as the servers would not be in sync with their FN read/writes).

Could add a client cvar to ignore the messages, or a command to disable them. Still that sticky bit of dynamic FN write screwiness though, might distort in fashion similar to the screwiness we've had in the past with that.

You wouldn't need it to be a safe-send like I was trying to do with the FN File I/O. Not a huge deal if a message is dropped in a conversation.
