How do I get out of this box?
Ahh well, I figured it'd only be so long until it became free. I'm still not so happy about it, as I bought it not once, but four times, and even my father plays it frequently.
I can somewhat see where they are going with it - Make the game free - more people - more hats being sold - more money.

I don't think they're moving in the right direction, and if it turns out they have, cool. I'm just not so excited to play with a bunch of MW2 f@gs.

What is your opinion guys.

This is my opinion. Couldn't word it better. I'm pissed they didn't compensate for the people who bought it once. All we got was a rusty old useless hat. You also posted this thread twice, just a heads up.

Woops, cheers mate.

I heard that the F2P players can't trade and also have limited backpack space... Meh, they're trying to balance it at least.
The only reason I ain't so happy is : I bought the game on release.

I could care less. I've played so much TF2 that it was worth paying the $10-15 for it (I got it in the Orange box). I also play on a server with a subscriber system so that cuts out even more of the riffraff.

Anyone who complains about buying on releases are arguing a bit of stupid logic... "OMG if I had only waited four years then I could have gotten it for free D:"

Prices go down over time...This time they just went down to $0.

What Sabre said. Except my TF2 was a gift, so I didn't pay anything in the first place!

Don't care. I donated to the server I play on all the time, so I'll (almost) never have to worry about getting in to play with all the regular people I play with.

I got it with the Orange Box... I've pretty much not played it since the Orange Box was released... When there were four maps, and no hats. Basically, I realized, this had nothing to do with the TFC game I loved so much so many years before. Wouldn't had been nearly so offended, if they hadn't taken the name, precluding any chance of anyone making a proper sequel (even if the first team of Fortress Forever guys tried, for a bit.)

Sounds like it's turned into some sort of role-playing game since then. >_>

It disturbs me the way games are evolving these days. Less and less about fun, teamwork, and strategy, more and more about who can afford the most toys. Reflects society, I suppose.

Eh?
When TF2 first came out I loved playing it, and I found it really fun. Then they added the damn store, and then the sniper set, and it just started becoming uninteresting to me because of the dumb sh*t they added.

Also yeah I agree with Thothie about the toys. BUY ALL THE HATS YOU CAN KIDDIES SO YOU CAN BE COOLSAUCE.

I don't regret buying the game when it was cool though.

I just wish every night that they'll add an sv_pure option to DISABLE EVERY ITEM ADDED IN AN UPDATE, EVER.
