Every time I try to install the .exe with 7-zip I get this error:

"C:\Documents and Settings\Desktop\MSC-10.exe is not supported archive"

any ideas?

1) Where are you finding an executable MSC install?
(edit: NVM that question - I forgot, it is an executable - just not one that can find your steam folder)

2) Why are you trying to open it with 7-zip rather than just running it?

ya the file was being forced to open with 7-zip and it wouldn't work when I opened the file on my desktop...but if I opened it through my down loader window it installed correctly...fun

Thanks for the reply thothie

Meh, *hopefully* we'll have a new, smarter installer soon. Pretty much have to do that before we can release anymore betapacks.

This new installer isn't going to be an exe? I think he just has his unzipper as default for his exes, as odd as that seems.

Well normally I would agree with you Durak but the interesting problem was that I, to my knowledge, completely removed the 7-zip unzipper from my computer and it was still opening the file with that program...so I don't know

How is your computer opening a file with a program that isn't there? More helpfully, you might want to check what your default associations are for regular file types. I can't remember how to do it easily but I'm sure you can google it.
