Using same char....

ok, i have 2 computers, 2 bros, so always one is off a computer. im the unlucky one thathas to switch through computers. and since i play on thothie's and JM's servers with one steam and have another steam on my other computer how can i play my char? will i have to send a save1.char file to my other computer, do i have to use the same steam account?

so basically,

i have 2 steam accounts1 on each computer. and i play on thoth/jm servers, both are central server. how do iaccess my sav file? and can i use different steam accounts?

You can add the params for the public Central character server to your server/listenserver.cfg on the computer you are playing on (see yonder thread). To play with that character, you must have an internet connection however to connect to the character server. You do not have direct access to your save1.char file.

i want to be able to play online on both computers.

As long as you log on to the same Steam account, you will access your character. The characters are stored serverside by Steam ID.

Nope, unless the server admin manually changes the name of the character file.

I think he means he wants to play the same character on two different computers, under two different Steam IDs.

Which... Sadly... Is not possible on MS Central servers.

If you stick to client side servers, you can port the save file about I guess... But with all other servers (server side/central), ye be SOL me thinks.
