i made a map like normal and compiled it and then when i ran it, it was full-bright :'(
and i checked to see if there were any lights stuck in the wall or somethin. nope.
so i thought it was just the map, i remade that map and compiled. still no lights!!!!

The support forum is LOADED... Maybe we can move mapping questions to Custom Content?

YOU DONT GOT TIME TO MAKE A PROFILE
hey, im makin a map, and i got this leak, which after a long time i pin pointed it by blocking of sections of the map on each different plane untill moving my wall block one unit over would cover the leak.

aparently its some bloody point up in space, so i dont really know where to go from here except surround the damn thing with a box like i used to do XD

anyways... does anyone have a program that can find leaks and show me where they are instead of the stupid this hammer does?

i tried something called LeakMarker01, which uses the .map of the map file, not the .vmf
unfortuneatly the .map file of my map have some 1 million solids that dont load or some nonsense like that so i cant really use that. anything else?

You can use the -particles and pointfile meathod maybe, if you can run in software mode (I think you actually have to have a WON install of Half-life to make this work). So far as I've heard, it's the ultimate leak finder - but I've never had a leak so bad that I bothered to try to use it.

Here's a Tutorial for that.
