anyone receive super lag when playing alone?

alone i mean when i join and play
i wil join on edana - votemap anything - connect - when the choose your char comes up.. the animation of lildude does this extra laggy jump and ill join after lag and have really bad fps it seems.

But when i join with ppl and switch maps its great..
well sometimes ill get the "unhandled exception while deallocating memory" but ill restart msc and im good for another 5 or 6 maps
wierd.

2gig of RAM (sucks)

Playing in d3d mode, ops??? I've really only gotten that error while trying to play it in d3d mode.

no.. openGL..of course

didnt knw this game had that option,. well if u are getting it with d3d than i guess i wont even try.

OpenGL is the only mode this game allows. Not sure how you even managed to get it into d3d, as it usually switches itself back automagically.

I can get to the main menu in d3d, but it usually freezes with that error if you try to load a map in that mode. Never gotten that error in open gl mode though, only the steam validation error if you idle to long on the character selection screen.
