I really suggest everone to stay away from 8500's and 8600's, they're quite crappy.

Playing Crysis with everything at Very High and still getting an average of +30fps...

...and I just ejaculated all over my keyboard.

Even though you have a powerful system, I was under the impression that playing Crysis on Very High with a smooth framerate was next to impossible with current generation video cards and processors. Are you sure you said Very High? What resolution are you running at?

If I recall correctly, he should be running without AA on 1024x768 or 1280x1024.

1024x768 it was.
Also i wouldnt say 30fps is "smooth", but it's still very playable.

Edit:And a side note, processor speed is overrated, what really matter is ram and graphic card.

Updated the first post with my spam about TimeShift, Painkiller: Overdose and Crysis for the people who care.

Wait, I'm sure somebody will care, because I've written a how-to on spawning a mini nuke launcher in the Crysis demo by using the map editor (that's included with the demo).

Read somewhere that Crysis demo only use DirectX 9.0c, found that hard to believe at first

Already knew that ofc, just didnt know that the demo didnt use it, which makes me eager as hell to get my hands on Crysis to see how the real deal performs, seeing as how DX9.0c already blew my mind.

I thought that the demo did have at least one DirectX 10 feature; per-object motion blur?
