Yes, and I'm sure you get 300xp for Maldora as well.

Good news on the Aleyesu front. MiB informs me that we can have multiple verification strings for the same map, and thus, can patch Aleyesu without the risk of non-patched folks having their servers booted off of FN.

Heres what i noticed:
* Nashalrath is FAR too easy, especially the endboss, judging by its lore it should be one of the hardest maps in this release.
*Also there should be some Nashalrath exclusive loot, im not sure what but i would love something akin to "Netherblade" dropping from the Kay'rath chest only. (More a suggestion for the next release)
*The new dialogue should be added (im not sure who has access to the source J told me Thothie has the latest edition but im unsure)
*Also people gets easily stuck in spawnpoints, i played today and there were like 8 people stuck, i got stuck both in the teleporter before Kay'rath and in the spawn one. (known bug)

Just found out that the scroll for banking chests doesnt work properly, i've used like 8 of them so far, the 1st 5 worked normally, the last 3 (used today in 2 maps) weren't working. It's like the chest is there but noone has access to the bank (no menu pops up when someone presses use key) making it look like a useless chest o_O

Info:
-The map was nashalrath.
-The chest banking scroll bugged 3 times on that map in a row for me after using it, the chest spawns but cant access it (and yes no1 was using it)
-So far it happened on that map only, used it many times on thanatos and worked normally.
-I might edit with more info about other maps laters and see if it works or not :wink:

What message did you get from the chest? That it was in use by another player, even though it was not?

Contact your mapper if you want the map to be more difficult - there's not much else that can be done, at the moment, short of ramping up the difficulty multipliers to insane levels. But never, ever, ask for treasure or XP. There's some chance for unique to JAN2010 items in there, but most of the truly unique items went to Shad Palace, as we've been stiffing his maps, treasure wise, for ages now. We also aren't adding any more swords for a long, long time.

Everyone tried to use it and we couldnt access it (press use but the menu box didnt pop up). There was no message that it was being used aswell or trying to use once pressed, it just bugged after i used the scroll. It's just like a "fake" chest where it spawns but its not there actually, but you can see it. o_O
Also, i tried it 3 more times on nashalrath and thanatos but it worked perfectly again, something is wrong here!

i say a new martial arts weapon or a spell (divination would be best to start with)? I think ma skill is in need of something new... :wink:

We got an MA thang in the works, but it just barely missed the patch. Albeit, it woulda wound up in Shad Palace, had it been ready in time.

Items take time, and TBH, we just don't have enough unique items to go around, so some mappers just have to bare with the random epics.

The patch doesn't come with a zipped SSE2 ms.dll. This isn't a huge deal for me personally since my server doesn't have SSE2, but it's still a pretty big problem because the FEB2008b and JUN2008a packages DO have this, so whether you're doing a vanilla install or patching JUN2008a you end up with the old zip file still sitting there and some might not think to check the timestamp before overwriting the DLL.

Anyway i guess this thang can be added to nash in the next release, im working on the elves now, i will speak to J about adjusting difficulty :)

The default ms.dll is SSE2 compile. If you don't have SSE2, your server should be crashing already.

We included an SSE1.

We stopped including the extension-free variant, as I kinda figured no one has a CPU that old, and if they do, they'd be insane to try to host MSC on it.

If someone needs an "SSE0" variant, please post, will create.

Dmgmulti/hpmulti don't seem to give the proper experience boost for some monsters, this is most easily seen in islesofdread1.

(Putrefactus gave 320 prepatch, now it is 80, King Sandstinger 500 --> 200, etc.)

Possessed Putrefactus, which seem to be harder, only give 60 exp.

This might also be happening in kfortress, as the Hollow One didn't seem to give 10kish exp even when accounting for a split, the last time I played the map.

On a side note, I can't seem to get the rock covering the second crystal to break either.

EDIT: Something appears to be HORRIBLY wrong with islesofdread1 on the blastnet server, the scorpions attacked and moved as if they had the bandit boss version of speed potions.

EDIT2: Nevermind, the speed thing, it was just a server issue.

Thothie, this may sound weird/impossible, but sfor has a... "lag bug". It was lagging my server like MAD, so we went to Hell's Diner, changed map to sfor, and then we had some crazy laaaaag again. Then we went to Mikkel's, which seemed to be working fine, changed to sfor, lag lag lag followed by a crash. Then we went to Square's server and changed from thornlands (appeared to be lag-free) to sfor and again there was the horrible lag.

edit: Cannot duplicate. The little sand scorps on islesofdread1 are based on a creature worth 15XP - they return 135XP, thus system must be working. :\

Maybe a corrupted item on one of you, since the bug was following you around. Who might "we" be, so I can go over inventories and see what might be going on?

So then we almost shot him, but even when he wasn't around, it was still laggy as hell.

We really need to fix that. >_>

Some of the newer items have cycles when worn - if they were embedded in a bag within a bag, they might not kill their cycles proper. They'd start running them again each time the bag looped over, so yeah, I could see infinite loop crescendo resulting from such a thing.

Hey the best way to test if ones character is corrupted is dropping all items one by one and seeing if they turn into "something different" right?
If I do that now, and something vanishes, will I get a rollback for that O_> ?

Edit: Also:
1) Dwarven Zombie Warriors appear to attack you with an invisible axe (maybe this is intentional, but if it is, why are they using axe attack anims and not fist attack anims).
2) Shadahar sometimes (very rarely) appears to hold a bow and quiver when he casts a spell.

Gave everyone a fresh slate on the twinker flags, so that shouldn't be an issue, for now.

I don't have ID's for all these characters handy, and my MSC time is pretty packed, so I dunno how good an idea it is to wait for me to do it.

I don't think they have fist anims but... This script ain't changed in ages either. I'd have to look and see what they be doin.

Oh that's bad... I got that damned thing down to two submodels and it's scrambling still? :\

We've got this odd bug where sometimes submodels (ie. weapons/armors on monsters) scramble, but I thought we confirmed it only happened to monsters with more than 3 submodels groupings. (eg. like the orcs: hat, weapon, armor, arrow). Shad uses a submodel to light his staff - it maybe scrambling with the skeleton bow - but I hadn't noticed it in testing.

Whenever he casts the death eye he is holding a bow that seems to be the only time it changes.

Ah, alright then... Looking at the script, I think he's just setting the wrong submodel when he summons da eyes.
