So, I noticed Dridje playing Rocket Crowbar 2, and was all "That's a good game, but RC1 was better." So he goes on a long mythical quest to find a working download. Long story short, the ninja found one.
So we got to playing, and managed to hook up an old version of RCBot compatible with RC1.9, (Thanks to me having patience with it. -.-) and figured, hey, we should get the MS:C community in on this, because it's just that awesome.(And it worked when someone did it for NS.) Pure modified madness. The weapons are beefy, doing things like shoot lightning, teleportation, and projecting you forward via "farting", and whatnot, and you can transform into various HL1 monsters.
Anyone that wants to host and is able to can go ahead and host,(Dridje likes to crash.) but I'd rather you had RCBot installed if you did.
http://www.lglan.net/rocketcrowbar/file ... barv19.zip <- Rocket Crowbar 1.9 download
This is the main mod file. You must have this to play Rocket Crowbar, as this IS Rocket Crowbar.
http://rcbot.bots-united.com/downloads/ ... rcb150.zip <- RCBot v150, latest working version.
RCBot is NOT the game, and is NOT needed to play the game. I'd rather you have it installed if you are going to host a server, as it's an admin program capable of adding bots and doing other sorts of fun stuff.
http://filebase.bots-united.com/index.p ... oad&id=441 <- Updated RCBot.dll for use with the Steam version of RC.
This is an updated .dll made for the Steam version of RCBot. Without it, the game will freeze when trying to use RCBot.
To install RCBot properly:
-Place the RCBot folder you get from the first download into your Steamapps/Accountname/Half-life folder.
-Go into Steamapps/Accountname/Half-life/RCBot, look for the install.bat, run that and run the install for RC1.9.
-Go into Steamapps/Accountname/Half-life/RCBot/RockCrowbar and copy everything from the maps folder in that to the maps folder in your Steamapps/Accountname/Half-life/Rockcrowbar folder.
-Overwrite the existing rcbot.dll in your Steamapps/Accountname/Half-life/Rockcrowbar/dlls folder with the one from the second download, and you should be all set.
I don't think just any old map will work correctly, and the ingame map list (For me atleast) is empty. But aside from it being empty, you're still able to access the good ol' stock HL1 maps like Crossfire, Subtransit, Undertow, Frenzy, Killbox, and any of the HL1 campaign maps (Which, mind you, work fine, and are extremely fun to play singleplayer, as the pistol fart ability allows for good speedgain, which in turn, means fast speedruns.)
Of course, if you copied the maps from the RCbot folder, you'll be able to start your server on the map Gargsoccer, which is pretty fun.

Also, we should totally get a gargsoccer tournament going. :3
