Whatever you decide to do, please don't make it take 5 years of playing to reach a point where your character is powerful enough to do the hardest content (Like the original Master Sword) :p A cap on skills would be welcome, in my opinion.

Darn, I was looking forward to implementing a 5 year grind to the endgame =(

If you do manage to get a 5 year grind to endgame, you should definitely add prestiges á la CoD. :p

The thought has crossed my mind . . .

Two bullets we aim to dodge in MS:S will be -
1. The "fun" of being (a) high level player(s) sharing the server with low level player(s). e.g. Running chapel or thornlands as a level 15+ with your friends that are new to the game. We want to ensure every player is having fun, as much as possible, while still providing incentive for the higher levels to move on to bigger and harder maps when the kids are abed.
2. Sudden and violent endgame. The players must be able to resolve the main questline, achieve "max" level, and still have a reason to keep playing.

I like thothie's system, but want four rings(index and ring fingers of both hands) and a pair of earrings(fate ftw). I would greatly enjoy a Weapon and Armor Crafting and Enchanting system along with An Item health feature(oblivion anyone:) ). Personally i believe that a Random weapon generator is better because it allows for Large amounts of items for a small number of "Parts"(Woot Borderlands). And for those of you here who have played BL Yes ive moded it but only custom load outs no fucked up weapons.
