Helping out a friend here since he can't create an account on the forums.

"Old moose wants to make an account on the forums, but he is having activation problems. He isn't recieving a confirmation email, if anyone could help it'd be greatly appreciated!"

Wish I knew where to petition hotmail and gmail to fix this crap.

Tempted to make a sticky for this, but not sure if people would actually use it.
