Ryza is the ghost of some priestess of light and goodness or something like that.
She's helping the players by providing them teleportation into the boss room and changing their reloc. crystals into some other item. She's desperately urging the players to defeat Atholo. I think that's an accurate enough description for VA. If I had a picture I'd post it, but I have not played MS:C in a long while.

(Eh... Dern bloom...)

Like I said in the PM, and like she says in her speech, she's one of the high-priestesses of Felewyn who sealed Atholo during the Age of Blood (few hundred years ago). Apparently, she's the one that drew the short-straw, for she's had her soul sealed here to make sure Atholo can't escape should Venevus (senior necromancer of the area) release him as was apparently prophesized.

Since she's a ghost, you can synth up her voice via reverb or flanger whatever else tickles your fancy. Might make her a bit easier than some of the others on yer ticket.

Why not just import the same audio file and deepen the pitch for one of them? It gives a "Deityish" sound to it.

I don't think deepening the voice of our only female voice actor is the course of action we should be taking. I do especially like the idea of modifying her voice with effects as much as possible, though. I'm not too keen on every female NPC sounding exactly like Felewyn.

Did you srsly murder the old man? Poor guy, and to think his last words were "how about a potion?" this is a sad day indeed :oldcry:

She sound too underaged for female characters we have ingame. Maybe she could make the voice of the children kidnapped in erkold's non existant quest.

...you mean his non-existent children? ;)

Still need a model for those... Hard to find non-anime looking child models. A lot of RPG's just skip children altogether, so not many to steal from either. I mean, look at Oblivion, something like a million NPCs running around, and not a single one under the age of 16. It's like there was some sort of magical plague of Pedobears that took all the children away, and no one wants to talk about it.

As for Etnies... I've never heard anyone voice act for a vuvzeula with such refined eloquence. ><

You could just steal more from World of warcraft.... Er... I mean to say, I'm sure there is a way to get really good children models, but the best would be unique and new models... I hate stealing things like that

WoW tends to have too unqiue an art style to steal from.

I've got a more generic model I can steal, but it'd be a very difficult conversion, and I'm not sure how good it'd come out in anycase. Certainly wouldn't match any of our own style, insomuch as we have one, but I think that maybe a good thing, given our converted HL scientist humans. >_>

Lockdown has asked me to put out some children models so I will do that sometime in early september. It will put my work on elves on hold until the children are complete.
