The forest isn't too dark. I believe you can still navigate it without glow or a torch but it might take you a minute or 2 and the wolves might be hard to spot whilst running in the dark.

I just let Thothie choose the model so you'll have to ask him 'What is that guy?' I believe this map is going to be completed and ready for the March patch. Thothie is going to have to get back to my PM soon so I can talk to him about the map/reward/boss wolves?

Well, ye wanted an "adventurer" - and well, I've no model for that - so I took Cerixus old royal guard model (although I think he originally wanted it to be an elf). ;)

If ye wanted a guard in training maybe I could use the guard model instead. Poor bugger still has no name though.

Well if he could get some different pants I would like that. Have you looked at the map yet Thoth?!?

Edit: Thothie, if you really want the guy to have a name then go ahead and name him. I would like to have 'adventurer' in the name still. ______ the Adventurer.

I was thinking of using the standard guard model and then saying he was a guard in training, although that seems a bit cruel of them, to leave their trainees alone in the forest for days on end.

I kinda wish there was more to do on this map, but since it is using torch-sprite lighting, I'd be a bit fearful of expanding it.

That'd actually be a cool torch, a glowing rock tied to a stick ;)

Heh, me thinks my glowing rock tech has been a bit abused (although it'd be fun to setup an economy based on their trade). Could just put more holes in the forest ceiling at let them emmit light, or maybe some glowing ponds, but none of that would look as good as the torch bit, I'm sure.

Well, at the moment, it's just the "defend the adventurer from wolves" and that's it. I mean, even if ya just tossed some hostile beasties leading up to the box where he is, it'd be something else to do.

Update: I have finished the basic design of the cave and all I need to do is make it look better. I'm thinking that it will take me about a week to do that since I don't have much time for mapping atm. Will be posting a picture on the first post very soon. (Main hammer screen)

You could make a gigantic portal which takes you to Lodagond-1, which is all swirly and it lights up a sizable chunk of the surrounding forest.

He seems to be aiming for a 15 and under map. I suspect it'd be rather cruel to portal them to lodagond. ;)

I dunno if we're ever going to work up our plot for getting to Lodagond.

Twue, except there's no transition to WW1 yet. ;)

The original idea was to have a floating fortress appear on random maps with a lot of sky in them, and you'd have some sort of artifact from another map (probably Wicard) to teleport to it. Plan was to do this either through a model or a special sky map.

Why not adding a transition from heras to WW1? Heras is a map that has WW feeling (i think)

WW1 is supposed to be the first section of a quest given to ye by some wizards that teleport you to the land where it takes place. I werz thinking that this could be a quest gained in the Hall of Deralia.
