Hosting of a Fixed and Steam ready version.

If it's not any trouble, I was wondering if someone could make and host a fixed (Helms and etc), steam ready package of the current original Master Sword that could be hosted on the site.



It'd be nice just having one download, it'd also be a lot easier when people get their friends to try it out, without having to explain how to install it.

I spoke with Kuroneko about this. I made an MS download, 58 Mb in size containing

-MS v1.3

-Helmet fix

-Warhammer VGUI fix

-Steam fix

but NOT containing

-The MS FGD

-Custom maps



So this compilation is completely legal. Kuroneko is going to review it and if (probably 'when') he sees it's legal and agrees with it I can host it.

JubeiSaotome, have you seen the downloads page? Kuroneko has been so kind to validate and host my 'version' of MS. This 'fully patched and updated version' (as the downloads page says) is:

MasterSword v1.3 + Missing helmets fix + Missing Warhammer icon fix + Steam update



All content is still property of the MS team, I just took the liberty of putting it in one handy download.

You extract all the bullshit to

...\Steam\SteamApps\<email>\half-life

and then you go to 'Play Games'. Then you double-click on 'Master Sword' under 'THIRD PARTY GAMES'. When in the main menu go to the Options menu and give yourself a *N*A*M*E*, that's very important. Then start a game on the map edana to create a character.
