I need a program that can edit (recode?) MP4 files. More specifically: change the framerate from 30 FPS to 25 FPS. Can somebody point me in the right direction please?
Uhh...Lemme think, http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html
That might do it, I don't use mpeg4s but that one had a lot of options, framerate changing being a definite.
My new cellphone can play MP4 and 3GP files, so I wanted to test this by transferring some game trailers to my cellphone. All of them have some minor stuttering issues, causing the actual footage to be displayed a little bit after you hear the audio, but the videofiles that were already on the phone play just fine.
So I checked out the framerates: 15 and 25 FPS for the two default cellphone videofiles and 30 FPS for all the game trailers. I'm guessing that's the problem.
Edit: ROFL, QuickTime Pro v7.2 (which I just "acquired") actually can export MP4 files to... MP4 files and you can change the framerate, amongst other things!
I'm going to transfer the edited movie to my cellphone and see if it works. I guess I won't be needing SUPER after all, but still, thanks for the help, Sabre.
