I am going to try mapping for MS:C

So I used to make CS 1 and CS:Source maps on and off for years for my friends. I got quite good at it but I gave it up well over a year ago and have lost most of my work due to multiple reformats. I played old MS back in the day and even made some maps for it also.
My question is: do you now release the FDG or am I forced to make my own again?
There is contradicting info about its availability on your site. I don’t intend to make any cheat maps but I do have an idea for a cool series of maps. I don’t need the FDG to map honestly all the info can be found in the bsp file. I remember it was just such a hassle to make way back in the day.

Yes the .fgd is included in the MSC install. It is located in the dev folder.

To get custom scripts (monsters and such), you'll need to show that the map is around 50% done.

Answer
No. It's only available to developers. Problems occured when releasing the first .fgd, people cheated and gave themselves money, armor, weapons etc... making their character unfair in online play. That is why in MasterSword : Continued players will be forced to start new characters.

I would have started sooner I think if I hadn't read that.

Odd thing is, that the FGD was in the very first release of MSC - but I'm not sure how deliberate that was. Previous team was much less open to community created content, and sadly, we've not fully updated the web page since 2005.

On a bumpy note, that should really really be updated, because I also would've started mapping for msc a lot sooner.
