You don't train parry (unless your a dirty whore) it goes up as you play. It has always been this way and theres no way around that other than specializing in spell casting or archery. If your getting hit parry WILL go up. There is absolutely no way you can get to 22 swords, 19 axe and 14 blunt without getting hit enough for parry to level AT LEAST to 2.

And if you're using a Great sword, Great axe, And Maul (All have good range on them) You can pwn the monsters from a distance; VERY few times was I even struck by orc warriors because of their slow charge time to lift their axes; Same with Blackhand orcs.

Ryan was hit because he had a thornbow before the official release so says thothie. Anyone who questions this further may take it up with Thothie himself, who is the eye witness of this whole thing.

Beyond that his character was created on the 31st of August, and considering he was over level 40 by the end of November something was wrong.

Anyone who further questions this will be slapped in the face with a halibut.

I avoided the archers and, ..Flayers really don't spawn as much as they do in the new daragoth remake. ; High orcs do though.

Interesting. I trained archery in Daragoth before the huts were made wider (and thus more accessable to archers), and I still gained quite a few levels of parry.

Sorry I doubted you there Shuriken but i only saw him with it after the patch so maybe it could be the same bug as the crest or Ryan is more full of shit than he let me know.

The Crest of Deralia was included into this patch, hence why you would not have seen it before OCT2007a (Thothie wouldn't just release a patch for my crests ).

Ya know, I got this bow by trading with an honest person without knowing it came from Ryan at first. But I'd gladly drop it if Thothie or Blasto want me to (I R uneasy about it even though I did nothing wrong).
I wouldn't feel right about having an item that other people can't possibly have or that I'm not supposed to have so if it causes any commotion let me know and I'll oblige.

Hello again. I am bringing you another accusation of somebody that may or may not be based on something.

I direct you to this post from Dark_Force9999 in Crow's Lodagond topic. As you can see, he links to this picture.

Now, having only played Lodagond three times before it was officially released, and because it crashed on me a few times, I haven't even gotten past the ice mages yet. But concluding from Dark_Force9999's post, and knowing for a fact that the treasure chest in the picture is not the one you get after you kill the reaver, I am guessing that the chest you see is the one that should spawn after you kill Runegahr.

Now, where am I going to? Take a good look at the top of that picture. You should see this line of text:

Ice Mage Frozon says, "We'll mount their corpses in this beautiful ice casket along with yours."

In case you haven't played Lodagond yet, here's what this line relates to: at a certain point you arrive in a prison-arena like area where you see Runegahr (big orc boss) in an ice cage, surrounded by four ice mages. The ice mages and Runegahr have a small chat, and the above line is a part of that chat. You've got to kill the four ice mages (which I have never done yet) and after that Runegahr. The four ice mages are really freaking tough and (knowing from monster test experiences) Runegahr is even tougher.

The line at the top of the screen is obviously game text that gets displayed after a short delay in the console, if developer is set to "1" or "2". Everybody knows that.

The thing is, this short delay is like 30 seconds or so. There's no way that Dark_Force9999 could have soloed the ice mages and Runegahr in 30 seconds (to get that chest) because they are amazingly tough.

This brings me to my conclusion: he cheated his way through it, and the fact that you still see that line of text from one of the ice mages proves that it only took him about 30 seconds to dispose of them and Runegahr. The amount of time that passed in Dark_Force9999's session of Lodagond between the conversation of the ice mages and Runegahr and the spawning of the chest (which only happens after all of them are dead) is, concluding from the delayed console repeat of the conversation still being visible, roughly 30 seconds. That's impossibly fast.

Your thoughts on this?
