Hi there! It's been months since I've touched MS:C, and I have since decided to reinstall it. First installation didn't work out very well, so I tried it out again, this time being successful in showing up on the Steam Library. However, when I join a Fuznet server, for some reason screen text is repeated across the screen, making it impossible to read or see anything at character select. I swear I've seen this happen before, and I can't remember how to fix it. I tried installing the Feb 2013 beta pack as well, to no avail. I am stumped; Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hope I posted it in the right section, and thanks in advance for any help! Hope my character's still on the database!

Turn off the bloom by pressing B once when you are connected to a server, might be the issue since i have the same problem with my new computer.

That seems to have fixed that problem. Now a new one has emerged. Well two new ones technically, but I'll get to that.

The biggest problem right now is that the interface is bugged. What do I mean by that? Whatever mouseover event type of code you are using, seems to mess up on my side. When I mouse over something such as characters in the character select, or a dialogue option, or an inventory item, it repeatedly... I guess you could say, fires a mouseover event as if I'm taking the mouse off the object, and putting it back on it, over and over; When in reality, the mouse is hovering over it completely still. I've been told to try reinstalling, but I've already had to reinstall this twice! Is this really that problematic of a game nowadays? Or is there a way that I can fix this problem without reinstalling?

The secondary issue, I'm not quite sure how it happened. It may have had to do with the fact that upon creating the character, the game executable crashed. It was a new character, he was made successfully despite the crash, and when I got him some storage items and such, nothing shows. None of the storage items equipped show in the inventory. Imagine on the left where it would list such. Now imagine that is completely blank, and the current inventory defaults to a random storage device. It's like a Stack algorithm, with me having to drop all my storage items until I find the right storage item I need to modify the storage of in. I can't access the others besides dropping things! It's a nuisance, but it may be with how I created the character and ended up crashing. If you know of any way to fix this, let me know. There's little of value on the character, but I'd like to try to avoid re-creating him. I was starting to improve his magic skills a fair amount and it'd be irritating to have to delete him when I recently had help from someone to achieve some new spells.

Thanks for the initial help, hopefully you or someone else may be able to help me with these last two problems. The second isn't as much of a priority as the first.

Most likely a gpu problem or one of the updates that valve made to the engine that messed with certain aspects of the mod.

But that only happens with the initial HUD right? The one to create or select characters. That's one of the problems i had with the bloom and it fixed simply by turning it off... if it persists i don't know what else could be breaking it for you other than gpu issues.

As for the second, try creating a new character in a new slot, see how it goes. If it persists, i got no clue what could be the problem, but posting an image or two showing the issue might help looking into it.

Oh not to mention that the first issue u got is sort of common i think, if it only happens in the character selection screen, just ignore it and play the game... Character selection screen has alot of issues randomly to so many users, there are users that get a white screen and a crash shortly after if they afk in the character screen for like 5 minutes. Sometimes when you start the game and connect to a server, the character screen might be bugged and ends up all shaky, but still works if you click in the proper option to load your character. Game keeps getting f*cked up because there are things that change on the engine, thing Valve update, said thing ruin mods for the engine, sometimes killing mods completly, so i wouldn't be surprised you would get a few bugs like that with display randomly, it's bound to happen.

You sir, are a saint. Switching it to low quality has fixed the problems with my NPC dialogue interface, my character select, and my inventory. I think part of the problem why I have to switch to that might even be because I'm using a mobility driver for my desktop video card, and not the desktop one. (I cannot get the correct drivers to install on my computer from the manufacturer website for some odd reason, so I used Windows Add Hardware Wizard. Hacky, but this one has worked for me so far... I'll likely have to ACTUALLY fix it later though, or get a new video card that's supported by the manufacturer).

Thank you very much for all of the help! I hope to meet you folks in game! :)
