mapping help -.-

ok guys yea, i know the forums are not for mapping help . but ya know iv gotten more help here for mapping rather than anywhere else -.-... so i was wondering why are only 2 of my light_spot entities working?! its kinda pissin me off... matter of fact iv got 2 that are set up exactly the same and only 1 of those work.... so i dont get whats wrong... and theres no leaks in my map...

Well.. i've never used one b4, but the way i understand it, they have a target to point at, so all i can suggest is to check and make sure they dont have the same target. though im not even sure that would cause your problem.

ill try, cause i didnt even give them targets to point at o_O. but then again why would only 2 of them work if theres no targets theyre pointing at ne ways? lol only way to see is to try.

They don't actually *require* a target, but aiming them manually with pitch can be a bitch... There's also he various flags involved, make sure the right ones are checked. Best solution for oddities such as these, is usually delete the one that doesn't work, and make a copy of one of those that does, putting the copy in the broken buggers place.

...and plenty of people ask for mapping help on the forums... Granted, more oft in the Custom Content section... But I 'spose we aren't flooded with the 500 supports posts per/day we were when I bitched about catagories. ;)

lol yea... i also found out they wont display if theyre surrounded for some reason... o.o but i have another problem... they dont look the same even though theyre placed in teh same positions with the same options... (spaced apart but in the same position, if u understand me -.-)

skip that problem i fixed it lol... it was just ever so slightly out of place... lol but i got a new problem o_O i seem to be making alot recently...

well the animated fire texture it works cept the black... it stays o.o what do i do to get rid of that?

yea. XD for dartz ... lol i like playing darts alot! so i set up a dart board for bows me n my bro will prolly play a few games of cut throat XD im going to add things in my map to do its basically going to be a map for when people get bored and are just sitting around talking :p. im making the bar so we can get drunk lol...

im going to make a slide out side mixed with some kinda of a course u have to do to get acrost... ima try n make it really hard if i succeed there will be a prize at the end.

Make it a sprite, set it to additive and between 150 - 200.

Hell I may make a lantern later for you lol.

i made that latern in like... less than 2 mins XD yea... im not sure how to put sprites in my map.

150 - 200 renderamount is better for flames, as it makes them more see through :)
