Lol that was great.

I don't understand this culture and sex. They complain about sex and not all the count lives you slaughter in the process. Why is violence more socially acceptable than sex?

If I had to venture a guess in the reason why the media now tries to slaughter video games for things OTHER than violence, is becuase that issue has been beaten into the ground enough. Plus, noone has killed each other over Mass Effect, so it news with strong evidence that the game MUST be evil if it's encouraging people enough to go and kill each other over it.

However, Sex, and apparently reproduction of continuation of our species, simulated, in a game, must be evil. Always.

Hahahaha, these two women in the beginning of the movie don't even have a clue about the "sex" in this game, and as soon as the game specialist dude starts laying down the ownage with some simple facts, they kind of cut him off. Lame.

I wouldn't call the "game-expert's" comments..."ownage."

"ZOMG, you guys are WRONG! YOU get to CHOOSE how far you go with people in the game as per your relationship with them!"

Hmm, ok. So it's like Overlord where once I get to a certain point in the game and buy a tower full of expensive crap, THEN I can rock the place? Right?

Fox can't pick on Microsoft for this. Their methods of parental control are not bunk. They work perfectly, just as they're intended, so long as the parents (the presumed BUYers of the 360) pay enough attention to set up a password on T, M, AO games. It's just that simple...they can even ban all internet connections with the same password yet maintain their own priveleges, that is...if they use the X-box.

Speaking about the actual game now...
I like how the reporter at least admitted to *never* having played the game or even watched someone else play it. Looking at trailers, as we all know, can never give a person the full impression of a game. On a content level, this game's rating is completely accurate. It has cleaveage, yeah, we know that. It has implied sex. Ok, so does GTA and GoW and several other games. Most likely, this game received an M rating for language and violence. Look at games like Devil May Cry. It was rated M and had no sort of "suggestive themes." DMC was rated M for only violence and mild language. The images in it were enough to unnerve me at the age of 12. Three years later, Dead Rising made me "aughhh...that's just wrong" when I first saw a survivor torn limb from limb then have her esophagus rippe out.
Purely based on relative ratings, this game is rather tame.

To be honest, both of the sides in this issue need to step back and take a look at what they're saying. The mainstream media and ultra-conservative/liberal soccer moms (yeah, it goes both ways) need to understand freedom of speech. They also need to check between Little Jimmy's matress and the hardwood support for his bed, and perhaps his internet clutter (if he hasn't been smart enough to delete it  idiot).
Gamers, on the other hand, need to understand how stupid some of their arguements sound in comparison.

"YO, you can't give GTA a AO rating! That s**t wasn't supposed to be in the retail game! Somebody HAXORD it after we put it on teh shalves!"

Whatever. They coded it. They left it there. Apparently there was only a simple variable that needed to be changed to activate "hawt coffee." Same thing with Oblivion's breasts, the textures were there, right? People need to calm down and stop getting so worked up over their games or their child's games. Parents need to start PARENTing. Reporters need to resume REPORTing. Gamers...just go enjoy yourselves. That's why we make them right? Damn, I need a break.

Sorry for the rant.

Knee deep in shit
Censorship and ratings are pointless. These are just tools so parents can get by with being neglectful.

I blame the other entertainment industries, cause video games make a lot more money.
