There was that update that removes all the archers from old_Helena (I think it was a custom update, but it was still awesome update)

i think all the old players should get together and start playing again... for some reason i remember having more fun on 1.35... sad to say... msc just seems prettyier to me with magic - some of the fun... idk why...

Thanks for the links Ceriux. I've been looking at the pictures for the first link and 3 of those pictures are from unknown maps. I would be okay downloading any one of those versions to play on. Just need to get other people to try and join in.

If we got enough people, it might be worth it to fraps the Helena battle.

You really don't remember how frustratingly awful that mod is? Are you masochistic?

Although I did like how easy bows were to use in it. And arrow climbing was fun.

I *think* that includes the stable helena. It's not on my local client, so I'm not sure.

I *think* I actually have a full MS 1.35 install around here somewhere with enhancements included...

It's good for a bit of nostalgia, but unless you have some ancient video card, you remember why you quit playing it right quick.

Tis true, that game used about 1/10th of the current game's resources. I remember running 10 player servers on a Pentium 3, with 10% CPU usage. *sigh* (Everyone lagged to hell - but it was lack of bandwidth, not CPU swampage.)

i don't know what people are talking about with thier complaints of it being "unstable" ...

back when i played, i constantly ran a server for 2-5 (and up to 8) hours straight...though, other servers didn't seem so stable...
