Idea: If you want to "even" phoenix, make it so you take more damage from ice attacks ;-)

Yeeah - then you get into this situation where you have to start carrying around multiple suites of armor for different situations... I think in that case everyone is just going to favor the generic DA. Tis bad enough we have people doing that with hats - but those are a lot lighter.

I've been thinking about revamping the elemental resistance system so it can stack in some way that doesn't multiply, which would give you reasons to pick up multiple-fire resistance items, and such, and make things like having pheonix armor and a fire resist helm viable without strange stuff happening, but I've not worked it out yet.

PS. Yayzorz I managed to update the front page. (And oh noes! Lord K broke his web server...)

I carry Cobra Skin and Fire Lizard around with me at all times. I've forgone using Knight's armor, and haven't the patience to get dark armor, nor the level to farm for phoenix.

Yeah, those are light enough to do that with... The platemail armors are not. ;)

This is a good point.

*thinks about the weight of several platemail armors*

Yeah... You'd practically NEED a raven to get anywhere, never mind trying to pick up loot.

Why do elemental armors have to be skins? Can they not be on par with the Phoenix armor? Certainly there can both be Cobra skin for level 1-25/30 and Poison Armor (regardless of name or level requirement) for higher levels

Also, it's quite easy to ticket all your armor in helena except for the armor you need, and go back to the server you were at. It's not like the minute it takes is going to be long enough for the map to be over by the time you get back.

And whats wrong with enemies with dual element types? This will require two players with different kinds of armor to take down an enemy, producing teamwork and reducing soloing. And these enemies don't have to be in every map...they can be in dual element maps (if these are to be made).

The idea of dual elementals is kind of contradicting in most cases, I know if I see an elemental enemy that's both fire and ice without it being a real special case, I would have to kick someone. Only things that would make sense to have multi elemental attacks are mages, and bosses.

conflicting elements are a no...but, fire and lightning don't conflict - and i'm sure under the right circumstances (see: assassin) ice and affliction don't either.

Well, MSC elementals are atomitons, the way I wrote them up at least, so there's no reason you can't mix and match elementals - they get along just fine and do whatever their creator told them to do. But again, we're talking about a, non-existant, fire-themed map.

Just don't....

Please don't NERF the new armor... I've heard rumors that it's going to be nerfed and that would be sad. Not like I have the armor, I only have DA and this new armor was something to look forward too. Not that I've been able to get or seen it dropped, but it seems a lot more easier to get than GA as the chests in skycastle don't spawn anymore.

There is no security. It just doesn't spawn on the old map anymore. Thought we'd have a new map from Replica by now, but apparently there's some sort of hangup.
