Would it be powerful enough to run cyrsis and vista ultimate with max settings? Or would it run/look better on XP? I've heard DX10 is only for Vista and I would want it to look the best damn it possibly could, but FPS is also an issue. So should I stick with XP with maximum compat. but without DX10 or vista which currently has compat. issues (which will probably be fixed in the long run) but has DX10 = FUCKING AWESOME?

(on a side note with this setup I could probably run two bioshock's at 100% settings without much lag, but Vista is such a resource hog I don't know about cyrsis.)

Oh, if you want to know how much this setup costs :

$6,857. As it stands, I do not have enough. >.>

thats a very expensive system.

If you want to run crysis with full DX10 and stuff you should probably wait for the 9 series cards or, your could build a standard computer and just get a dual 8800GTX or 8800ULTRA or on the cheap 8800GT

when it comes to plying games like crysis you need a video card with a lot of memory DX10 is very video buffer heavy, and a lot of system memory 2 gigs will work, but 3 is always better  as for your CPU anything will work as long as its faster than 4 Ghz.

its not hard to build a system that can handle it on the cheap, its just where you spend all the money.

there are some things on there I probably don't need that might bring the cost down, I already have two 300GB and 80GB hard drives at home so I might not even need the 800$ hard drives, I also don't really need bluray though it will be nice to have seeing as how blockbuster is now supporting bluray.

but if I'm going to buy a PC I want my moneys worth, I need a beast! :p

Oh, and one more thing I just noticed on the site : vista purchases (ultimate) give you a crap load of free bonuses.

-a laplink PCmover so I can move crap from PC to PC

- a maxtor onetouch 4 mini 80GB HD

- a D-Link GamerLounge 108G Gaming Router

- a D-Link Wireless Pocket router/AP

AND an Espon Ultra Hi-Def R280 Photo Printer.

AND because I am buying Prof. 2007 :

Laplink Everywhere (no clue what that does..)

An Epson Stylus CX8400 printer

And a D-Link Multifunction

And now apparently I found a coupon for the site online for 5% off any purchase over 999$ so now the price dropped in total about 380 bucks.
