May we not just see how wounded a player/monster is? That is not unrealistic at all. Even spiders get wounded and may move stuttering with a broken leg...

I've not worked out the details, but I figure midas well make em work for that bit.

TWO THINGS TO OFFICIALLY ADD TO THE TO DO LIST:

FINISH THIS: viewtopic.php?t=2249&start=75 Top credits for whoever gets me a .mdl of that first. :p

Simplify our view model: Apparently most modelers can't figure out how to use our proper sleaved view models. If someone can make a new one, with just the sleaved arms, I think it'd go a long way to getting things done right.

If you mean the sword, you can stick it into the current models\weapons\swords\longsword_rview.mdl

If you mean you don't have a viewmodel for the viewmodel replacement... Well, umm... You can't possibly mean that. ;) Idea being, we need to make a new one, from scratch, but with the same sleave texture, that people can work with more easily.

Adding: Polar Bear Skin, Salamander Skin, and Firelizard Armor.
White Fur (resists cold), Green Scales (resists poison), Red Scales (reisists Fire), accordingly.

This is likely a re-skin job, although if you can do more than that, it'd be kewl too (maybe layer the polar bear skin with transparencies?). Ceirux did this a ways back, but he's been stingy with sharing his work. ;)

It will be integrated into models/armor/p_armorvest.mdl , so it can be a applied right away (no need for model slots).

Wait...Salamander armor? Is this a reskin of a monster or a new armor? I'll try reskinning these.

This what you're looking for in a polar bear?

I did what I thought you thought ceriux did:

Made a bunch of duplicate layers with different exposures, so that it would brighten up, while keeping a dark appearance, which is more accurate to the look of a polar bear. Also made the eyes less puppylike and moved them a lil closer.

middle of nowhere
the layered look he's talking about is like the "Male Elf Model" has with the hair...how it juts out of the model and part of it is transparent.

No no no... I don't need a reskin of the polar bear... I need a Polar Bear Hide Armor - ie. a vest, made of Polar Bear skin that gives the player resistance to cold...

When I said layers, I was thinking you could make a transparency layer of cross-crossed edges for a fur effect, but a plain old reskin of the leatehr armor is fine.

Ceriux made some Dragon Hide armor a ways back that'd work for the Salamander and Fire Lizard armor, but he never shared. :oldcry:

Whoops...

EDIT: I'm trying to make a cloak-like thing, which will probably have an equip system similar to the crest, if everything pans out right...Pictures to come.

Would this do for health bar or anything that needs to change? I'm waiting for your opinion before making the other frames.

Also, on your opinion, whats better, making the bar shorter each frame or just color change?

I'd personally have the green bar shorten to the left, and in its place, a red bar appears to grow from the right, replacing the green. (red is the BG colour once the green shrinks)

Perfect Belmont :)

I like Ceriux's addition, but it needs more depth, I'd still go with plain and simple though
