[REQ] Models we need

⢠We need the blooddrinker sword in the hands of a large orc.
- It'd be nice to reskin the orc too, with some tats and such.
- Blooddrinker sword is in models/weapons/p_model1.mdl (last three submodels) and models/weapons/swords/blooddrinker_rview.mdl
- The desired orc to have his skin and weapon repitoré added to is is in models/monsters/orc_big
- Sources for Blooddrinker are available - not so much so for the orc
- I can handle the reskin, if someone can attach the weapon
⢠We need an Ice Reaver scaled x2 and reskinned
- It'd be handy if the LX movement was adjusted accordingly, and the anims slowed down a bit.
- Ice reaver model is: models/monsters/abominable.mdl
⢠We need 1337 bandits
- Some elite bandits with better (read: fancier) armor/weapons, maybe more muscular
- An oversized, fat, bandit king, or three, would be kewl too
- Xbow bandit would be nice to have
⢠Some player-model based monsters need weapons
- It'd be handy if someone would give me info on how to do this so I could expariment and see what works best
- There've been some requests to arm Maldora (who's a player-model mon) - but I've not figured with what yet
⢠Heavy Xbow
- Here's a package of reskinned xbows that I will use as is if we don't get anything in the next few months:

- Gotta make use of those heavy steel bolts (ever wonder why those have no range?)
- Sticking one of these onto the proper hands is fine. (Yes, I realize that is the hard part that no one but Orochi has managed to figure out, and even then, just barely)
- The heavy bow needs to remain large in the hands (ie. should take up a fair amount of the view screen). Repeating bows are fine for this task.
and last, but certainly not least...
⢠WE NEED SOME FRELLING ELVES!
- Adding to the models you can modify in desperation for a quick fix:

- Those need to be put into pale skin hues, armed, and heavily modified
- Glasses need to be axed on the wizard (tis just MO)
- Apparently the Torkalath elves aren't littarally "dark" elves, but only figuratively - thus the primary difference is going to be in the outfit, and maybe tatoo'ing, scowls, or some such - if anything, they'll be paler.
Updates have been made to the top page.

Are we talking the King of Deralia?
King of Deralia I *assume* would have your standard king clothes out fit. Like... The Burger King Guy.
I mean, he's a king if he doesn't have sh*t all over him, yes?
A model actually already exists for him somewhere that might make good reference, even if it's obviously copyrighted. (Maybe we could get them to pay us for ad placement?)
And if you don't like him, there are plenty of perfectly lovely images of Henry VIII on google:

Think a crown would be preferable to that hat though.

Im really close to finish my map, Im not working so effective right now becuase there ist so much left to do wit my map. Im just waiting for the new bandit mages, some bosses and stuff. If they will be eligible in the new patch.

Gah, makes two people that need their scripts ASAP. I hope Crow isn't finished too, cuz if he is, I r in t3h troubles.
I'm going to be out tonight. I'll try to finish Replica's Maldora tomarrow, and if I'm lucky, I'll have better bandit mages, maybe some elite bandits, and a bandit boss by monday/tuesday for you to test with.... No promises.
It'd help if I knew the exact hp/level range you had in mind for your map though.

No rush. I still have the whole gladiator even to create and rig up. The Blood Drinker boss and everything up to is it finished. just needs testing and the scripts/models.
Origonally I was going to have that be the first boss, but I decided to make the gladiator event the first thing you can do, so yea, still gotta do that. It'll take a while.

Meh, more than two weeks ago, didn't see it for some reason...
Ye may want to hit up Replica for a copy of the alpha pack and help him test his map with the Fragment of Maldora, so you can get some idea of what "Maldora Heavy" might be like from "Maldora Light".
Also remember you can use those ambient_generics again, so make use of em.. I know you've been waiting for that for so long now...

"Big Orc with bloodrinker" task completed, thanks to Orochi.
While he was at it, he fixed a bunch of texture alignments on all the orcs, so give him three cheers and a night with your sister.

I'd like to thank FER for doing one of the many things that have been on this list for almost a year, namely, getting the Lightning Rod on the proper pair of hands, so it don't look so disturbingly bad. I'm not sure if I'll be able to have the resulting weapon in game in time for next months patch though. (Also made us yet another 2h sword - that's fancy - but not totally obnoxious)
I'm officially adding these two tasks:
The first is something Orochi was supposed to do two months ago - and the second is a request I made of him on the 4th of this month, and I've not seen hide nor hair of him. As such I don't expect him to get either done this month (I think FSM just mentally scarred him or something) - as such, if anyone can get this stuff done before the end of the month, it would be most appreciated.
I *think* the only actual sources I have for the models in question are decompiles, but I'll put a link up here anyways:

Well, ya got us a WoW elf that I'm reluctant to use, especially without any comperable friends, but yes, pat on the head for you too, as if no one comes up with anything soon, I'm going to stick them into bloodrose just in hopes it'll make someone sick enough to make us a proper set.
