Anyway here's a screenshot of the quest message with the 50 rat pelts (I blacked out the guys name):

Edit: Completed the quest, but the last part is insane, if you're sub-30 and don't have friends around your level to help, you won't be able to do this

you don't exactly have to goto edanasewer. you need to do the quest for him to tell you more about "the ring"

1. In order for any NPC to tell you more about "The Ring", you need to complete they're quest or else they'll say some like this.

Yeah I know something a little about that. I'll tell you if you help me with my small problem first.

This is where the edanasewer kicks in for the captain guard.

For the last time, if you haven't done the edanasewer quest there is no way you can do it currently to proceed with the Blood ring.

Player: Hello Edrin

Edrin: Hail, traveller... damn that mayer!

Player: What do you know about this ring?

Edrin: Oh, I know a little something about that... If you could just help me with my "little problem' first."

Player: What do I have to do?

Edrin: The sewers has been off limits to civilians for quite some time now, due to some aggressive bats that swarmed the place as of late... and seeing as we're rather short on guards, perhaps you could help us out and clear the place? Be sure to gear up with some proper weapons, though. Them bats rarely sleep alone... You'll find the entrance to the sewers by the prison, down to the right, by the armor smith. Just move the hay we used to block the hatch.

Player: Alright!

... Player walks over to the prisons, breaks open the box and opens the hatch. Walks to the sewer entrance.

Fuznet: Sorry you are not allow to enter! This place is not approved by me.

*Fuznet crashes the server.* -The rest of the script is an addon for fun-

... Player goes back to Edrin

Edrin: Back so early?

Player: Can you tell me about the ring please?

Edrin: Where are the proofs of you getting rid of them bats? I asked you to do a very simple thing!

That's not a quest, that was purely information implemented to direct new players to the sewers.

It was supposed to be a quest, but I didn't get that far before the July patch.
We'll see what August might bring...

It is a "quest" per se, as in someone tells you to go somewhere to his benefit, while you get the loot, but not technically.

Sorry to spoil your fun.. but there actually isn't a quest. You see, the bloodstone ring "quest" is a conspiracy created by the devs, who actually hold the only way to get it which is by typing a 216 digit number in console. The 216 digit number is in some way shape or form derived from the bible and is actually God's true name. Thats right, Thothie and pals are involved in a cult to protect this secret, and I have blown their cover.

heh... I helped a friend complete the quest from the beginning, and now I'm doing it, and I think the guy you turn the rings in to is bugged :/

To the top right of your old post, theres a button called "edit". Perhaps the bloodstone ring will be automaticly transfered to all your characters on FN if you press it?
