I was part of a community which contained a few people who made their own words for the vox bloke. Google half-life vox and see what comes up.

If you have GCF Explorer, open your half-life.gcf, then go to valve\sounds\vox and then you'll find out.

If ye head over and download Fortress Forevah, you'll find several VOX alternates in your \Steam\SteamApps\SourceMods\FortressForever\sound\vox folder.

Also in the valve GCF, there's:
valve\sound\fvox - HEV suite vox system
valve\sound\hgrunt - Army grunt communication system - (fairly extensive)
